I was just sitting in my studio the other day, waiting for my clients to get there for their Christmas session. The next thing I know, a car pulls up and my client hops out looking like a literal goddess. I mean look at her!! Absolute perfection.

And her precious daughter and husband!!! I just can’t even process the gorgeousness of this entire family. Can’t do it.

What happens when it’s pouring down rain and you have an extended family session that can’t be rescheduled because everyone is leaving to go back home the next day? First, you panic. Then, you panic more. Finally you call the client, suggest doing the shoot at her house and hope for the best!
‌
I love how this shoot turned out though!! The family was so sweet and didn’t bat an eye when I told them I’d be moving their couches and various furniture across the living room to make room for everyone. 🤣 Such a fun shoot and such a precious family!

This is my best friend’s little girl, Maggie June. No shade to my own children but Maggie is currently my favorite child on Earth.

She’s so good that I’m not convinced she’s not a robot. Her squishy cheeks….those big blue eyes. Perfection. Absolute perfection.

It’s September and I am OVER summer. The relentless heat, the humidity that causes me to look like Sammy Hagar on a daily basis. I am just a mammal that belongs in a colder climate I guess.

To trick myself into thinking it’s fall, I’ve brought all the pumpkin things into the studio. And look at this little cutie in her adorable dress 😍😍

It’s supposed to be spring right? I mean I’ve planted things in my garden. Even in the best scenarios, things that I plant only have about a 47% chance of making it anyway. But this winter weather we’re having right now is not helping anything. Whatever. The plants that make it out of this will be stronger for it. And that’s what I want in my garden. A garden of soldiers, ready to face the elements and live to tell their stories.
