“Here's to the seniors playing in their last game.

The ones who grew up hearing early alarms for Saturday morning games... and getting home from practice after dark.

The ones who spent weekends at tournaments... and years building friendships in practice, on the bus rides and at team dinners.

The ones who wore the same number from the time their jersey hung to their knees...to the moments it was announced next to their name in their high school games.

The ones who held their tears until the car ride home after the tough losses... and got emotional with their teammates when they got that big, underdog win.

The ones who put on the jersey for the last time, but are taking with them a version of themselves shaped by their days wearing it.

Here's to you, seniors.

You gave it everything.
You soaked in the moments.
You showed up for your teammates.
You stepped into your bravery.

You grew up with the game, and now it's time for the lessons you learned from it to live on through you.

Tonight's FHSAA Class 4A regional playoff clash in Melbourne is going to be an absolute dogfight as the Eau Gallie Commodores (23-3) host the Lake Wales Highlanders (23-6).

The Matchup
Eau Gallie rolls in on a 10-game win streak, fueled by two-way standout Jordan Stout and on-base machine Leah Pechart. They’ll be facing a red-hot Lake Wales squad riding a five-game streak of their own. The Highlanders are anchored by ace Zamirya McBurrows who brings major heat to both the circle and the plate, alongside slugger Kyra Williams.
