It was such an honor to photograph the Richmond family and their incredible team Skillet Junction on one steamy Sunday morning in May.

From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and genuine hospitality. Before I could sit down and enjoy the delicious brunch they had prepared for me, I had the opportunity to take it all in. They welcomed me behind the scenes and allowed me to follow them around, giving me a front-row seat to the magic that makes Skillet Junction so special.

I’ve officially been in this business for 11 years, and honestly, that feels impossible to me.

This journey originally started as a hobby 16 years ago. I fell in love with the editing process and learning how to use the new camera I had purchased for my Etsy jewelry business. I had no idea what I was doing, but I knew I was having fun and wanted more of it in my life.

Eleven years later, I’ve photographed thousands of people, had countless amazing experiences, and met so many wonderful souls. I truly can hardly believe this is the path my life has taken. Although I am no longer a full-time photographer, I have never stopped! I am able to use my passion with my full-time job on top of continuing to work with such amazing clients!

My very first subject was my sweet baby boy (my first son) who is now 15 years old and the one behind the camera taking these new headshots for me. He’s incredibly talented, and I couldn’t be more proud of him and of course his younger brother, too. They both have a creative eye and I can hardly wait to see what they decide to do with their talents.

Life has truly come full circle. 🤍
