Yesterday wasn't about schedules, deadlines, or checking things off a list.
It was about slowing down and being present.
We spent the day at the lake with our youngest son, his wife, and our two grandchildren, Scarlett and Cormac. We swam, caught minnows, built sandcastles, dipped our toes in the water, roasted marshmallows, and enjoyed plenty of s'mores.
As I watched these little moments unfold—the messy faces, sandy feet, curious hands, and carefree laughter—I was reminded how quickly childhood passes. The best memories aren't usually the big events. They're found in ordinary days spent together.
Grateful for family, lake days, and the gift of living in the moment. ❤️
Making memories today that will be treasured for years to come.
