I'm originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania but moved to Ohio after college. I have a Bachelor of Science from Ohio University and have worked in IT for the past 28 years. About 6 years ago I bought my first 'real' camera (Canon Rebel T5i, for those who are interested), and started taking pictures around Cincinnati. I started going to the Cincinnati Nature Center, entered their annual photo conte

st, and won 2nd place for 2 photographs. Then I was invited to be in their annual photo show, Nature in Focus. From there I started doing some in-person shows and selling on Etsy, and now selling on my own website. I also haul my gear on vacation for some more exotic locations. Cincinnati always has a way of making the skyline feel both familiar and full of movement. From this vantage point at Devou Park, you can take in some of the city’s most recognizable landmarks — the downtown skyline, the riverfront, and the bridges that connect the whole scene together.
I love how this view shows the energy of the city while still feeling calm and expansive. It’s one of those overlooks that reminds me how much character Cincinnati carries from every angle. What landmark stands out to you most when you look at this view?

Cincinnati always has a way of showing off from this angle. From Devou Park, you can take in some of the city’s most recognizable landmarks all at once — the Roebling Bridge stretching across the river, the downtown skyline rising in layers, and the mix of historic and modern architecture that gives the city so much character.
I love how this view captures both the energy of the city and the calm of the riverfront below. It feels like one of those classic Cincinnati scenes that never gets old.

The Empire State Building rises above a layered grid of rooftops, and the cool sky tones against the warmer city hues give the scene a clear, metropolitan energy.
