Folks have asked “Keith, what are you doing with your last free weekend before your college football season begins?”. Easy! I am watching college football and Week 0 and enjoying a damn good beer!! 🍺 🏈

It is TCU vs UNC, I don’t have any rooting interest or care, but it’s the first game of the year and I am watching it! Yes, college football makes my personal life busy once the Vols season begins, but I am a football fanatic and at this point, am so happy football is back!!

This Westie from Burial Beer Co. is solid!!! So fresh, so clean, piney and dry I am really enjoying this beer on a hot day. Luckily I am in my A/C other than taking some quick pics. It feels like a great tailgate beer, but be wary, it is 7% so hydrate well too!! 💦

The August Burger of the Month, It’s Always Sunny, was one I had to make a special trip for last week. Garlic Aioli, grilled green peppers/onions, provolone and cheddar sour cream chips! It was 🙌!! Only a few days left to try it yourself!!

There may not be a better combo than Xül beer and an Abridged smash burger! I will be back Tuesday night to play NFL trivia, and cannot wait to see what the September burger will be!!! 🍔 🍺

The new Puckers Sports Grill | Knoxville Sports Grill opens tomorrow (8/26) and you, yes you!, should check it out! Last night I was fortunate enough to get an invite to a VIP event and now I get to give you a sneak peek! 💋 🍊 🍹

Formerly known as Mimosas in South Knox, Puckers Sports Grill has the feel of a cool place to pregame or watch an event. There is plenty of indoor/outdoor seating and TONS of screens! You won’t miss a minute of the action no matter where you are in the venue!

For drinks I tried the Old Fashioned, Prickly Pear Margarita and the Puckers Lager by Monday Night Proofing Co.! My favorite of the 2 cocktails was the Prickly Pear Margarita. I loved the color and the fruity flavor! The lager was crisp and tasty, and with being a beer account, it was a must try for me personally!

I tried every little snack I could get my hands on and they were so 😋! My top 3 were the pimento mac n cheese, the buffalo chicken empanada and sausage on a stick wrapped in a pancake! I was in heaven and ready to try some more of the food offerings!

If the staff running around with samples all night is the wait staff, you are in good hands! They were so friendly and were working hard! It was busy, and I am sure not easy, but you would never be able to tell it from their face or demeanor!

You can find parking behind the building, there is a garage available to customers, and it welcomes you immediately to Puckers!

Hopefully you get a chance in the near future to check out Puckers Sports Grill! I know I will be stopping by again soon to see the full menu and options!

Welcome to the new Tennessee Brew Works - Lenoir City Barrel House! The opening has been a long time in the making, so I had to check it out last week!

Tennessee Brew Works has been a Nashville staple, but opened this location in Lenoir City, which is a short drive from Knoxville. The venue was a former fire station! 🔥 🚒 Currently TBWLC is in the soft opening phase, but the Grand Opening is scheduled for August 28-29!

The little and I tried the chicken fingers and they were exceptional! The meat was so juicy!! The thin French fries were good, but I was stuck on the tendies!! 🐓

For the beers, I tried 1 new and 1 staple. I am terrible and forgot to take a pic of the menu, but am positive one was a Passionfruit Hazy and the other the staple lager. The Hazy came across as more of a sour to me, it was good, just not quite what I was expecting. The lager was a banger and perfect for the hot day!! Super crushable!! ☀️ 🍺

The venue has a nice stage for live music, which is always a plus! Plenty of tv’s as well for your sporting events. We had a great time watching some NFL preseason action! 🏈 🎶

I am excited for Lenoir City to have this location! The town has been waiting for something like this and I hope they kill it!!

When I see a beer that’s brewed using hops from the UT Institute of Agriculture campus, I do my best to try the beer! This brew was made using their Cascade hops!

Peaceful Side Brewery + Taproom knocked it out of the park with this one. Farm Road Pale Ale was delish! Light citrus notes and crisp, as much as I tried to savor the beer, I couldn’t stop drinking it! 😋

It’s awesome to see the hops growing right here in Knoxville and then utilized by our local breweries!! 🙌

Y’all, I have done my best to get on here a little and it’s been tough. I just wanted to post and let everyone know I am still around, and so far, alive and kicking. 😂

August has been WILD!

🍊 Moved the oldest into her dorm at UT
🚌 The youngest has started back to school
🤕 Going to PT twice a week, and had an MRI last week on my ankle. *Getting answers this Friday!!
🔨 Work! It’s that time of year. Football and basketball keeping me busy, on top of some other projects I dove into.

I am hoping starting this week I can get back to posting again, or finding time at night to prep for the next days post at least!

Hope everyone is doing well! Let me know what you have been up to these last few weeks!!

I could not miss celebrating one of my favorite beer styles on its holiday!! Happy ! 🍻

This West Coast Style IPA from Fonta Flora Brewery has a lot that can be talked about! The 🍺 is fermented with local 🥕 and created using citra, mosaic and sabro hops! Alpha vs Beta Carotene was brewed with water from their own wells, and 79% local ingredients! 🙌

The beer was alright. Some earthiness tied in to a standard IPA taste. I didn’t really get a 🥕 flavor, but it was a good beer just from a solid hop profile! If it’s Fonta Flora, I am always giving it a try!!

Seventh Son Brewing in Columbus, OH was one of those places you just wish you had more time to enjoy when you visit. Unfortunately I am saying this as I am one of those “planner types” and didn’t leave enough time to stay longer!! 😂 🐈

We immediately loved the venue when we walked in and watched the brewery cat just flopping down in the middle of the taproom. We were able to get in a few pets on the way to the bar to order.

I don’t remember the beer I ordered, but I do remember it being delicious and I really wanted to try another. I spent too much time having fun and taking pics before we had to get to the stadium for the concert that night. The decor of the venue was 👌!

If I get back to Columbus anytime soon, I will be making another visit!

To juice, or not to juice, that is the question… 🍻 🥝

Mana Wave and Kiwi Juicebox from my friends at Peaceful Side Brewery are the exact same profiles, EXCEPT, Kiwi Juicebox is packed with delicious fruity fun! Which do you think would you choose?

I really enjoy them both and for me, it depends on the mood. Last night, Mana Wave was hittin’ just right during some video games. 🎮 I also took the choosing part out of it, and had both! 😂
