Stanley’s story is one that truly touches the heart.

Mason’s dad got Stanley for him just two months before he passed away five years ago. Since then, Stanley has been Mason’s loyal buddy and companion, carrying a very special place in their family’s heart.

This August, Stanley was diagnosed with idiopathic epilepsy. As they’ve been working to find the right medications and dosage, the medication left Stanley feeling a little mopey and unlike himself.

Then his family saw Melody’s picture on a local shelter’s page. They decided to meet her, hoping to see how she and Stanley would get along and maybe, she could bring a little more life back into his days.

And she certainly has!

Melody is a little ball of crazy energy, while Stanley has his own sweet and gentle personality. Together, their big personalities complement each other so well, and the two have become wonderful companions.

We headed to the woods for Dolly and Olive session. They enjoyed their little adventure.
