What an amazing fun night this was. Thanks a billion, , for touring and for coming to for your fans in NJ!! “Party at Ground Zero” sent me back to the days of listening to . You brought us to church with “Everyday Sunshine” on a Thursday evening! And “Racist Piece Of Sh*t” should be an anthem!

I had the honor of photographing the inspiring Hazel Clark for the last week as part of their amazing annual Ideas Festival series at the beautiful Maplewood Memorial Library. Ms. Clark is a three-time Olympian and now an author of a children’s book titled “Hazel Takes the First Step.” She was not only funny and inspiring but also a captivating storyteller (and she is also stunning!). Check out some of the photos captured of Hazel in conversation with her sister, another three-time Olympian, , from the Maplewood Ideas Festival!

Here are two fun facts about Hazel Clark:
1. She graduated from Columbia High School.
2. Her father, Joe Clark, was the inspiration for the 1989 movie “Lean on Me”!

Thank you to Patch Maplewood for mentioning the Community Coalition on Race in their recent piece on Maplewood native Solana “” Rowe’s inspiring Grammy moment.

Last fall, we honored her mother, Audrey Rowe (), for 23 amazing years of dedication to the Coalition and SOMA community. While we miss having Audrey with us as our program director, her impact and legacy continue to shine.

After the long holiday break, we successfully got the two big kids in bed before 9:30 tonight. 😊 Good luck to everyone tomorrow, especially our teachers and staff as the 2026 school year begins!
