Had the best time at DPS with Dallas Photography Community this weekend. I was honored to be able to create shooting bays for the event on Saturday night.

A GINORMOUS thank you to Arlington Camera I Cameras & Lighting Gear! None of this would have happened without you guys. I know I can speak for so many when I say how incredibly thankful we are for everything you do and how much you continue to pour into this industry and the people in it. Your support, encouragement, and heart for this community mean more than you know.

And a HUGE thank you to Ruben Dario Cruz with Westcott Lighting and Ft Lauderdale Photographer 📸 Photo / Video from Nanlite USA who jumped in and helped demo lights! You guys rock. Your help made everything run so much smoother and helped create a phenomenal experience.

And can we give a HUGE thank you to my incredible models who absolutely CRUSHED it!! You took every idea, every pose, every lighting change and just RAN with it! Thank you for trusting the process, bringing the energy, and helping bring a phenomenal experience for the photographers. You guys were absolutely amazing, and I couldn’t have asked for a better crew.

Thank you to all the photographers who came and shared in the event! I had the best time watching everyone work with the models and I can’t wait to see all the images created!!!

Hey everyone!! Come see us this Thursday, August 6, at Arlington Camera!

I’ll be there all day, and Silvia from Nanlite will be hanging out too, showing off some really fun lighting techniques and answering any questions you have. If you’ve been curious about Nanlite lights or just want to learn something new, this is a great chance to stop by.

She’ll also be teaching a class from 3:00–5:00 PM, and I know you’ll walk away with some great ideas you can use in your own photography.

Whether you want to talk gear, lighting, storytelling, or just say hi, I’d love to see some familiar faces. Come spend a little time with us!

It’s not always about building a big scene… sometimes it’s the smallest details that bring the story to life. ✨

For Whimsical Madness on Pointe, the magic wasn’t created by a massive set.

It was hidden in the details.

A tiny vial labeled “Drink Me.”
A ballerina balanced effortlessly en pointe.
A whimsical Mad Hatter hat sculpted from nothing more than foam.
A sash handcrafted from vintage thread bobbins, giving forgotten pieces a new purpose.
Every texture.
Every prop.
Every choice.

These aren’t just decorations—they’re clues. Little pieces of the story that invite you to step inside the world instead of simply looking at a photograph.

That’s what I love most about storytelling.

Not how big you can build…
But how intentionally you can create.

Because sometimes the smallest details are the ones that leave the biggest impression.

There are birthdays… and then there are birthdays that mean something.

The kind where you don’t just celebrate another year.
You celebrate surviving the ones before it.

She walked into my studio carrying a lifetime of stories. We laughed, we created.

At midnight, as her birthday officially began, she shared this portrait with her own story. A story of where she’s been, the mountains she’s climbed, the gratitude she carries, and the excitement for all that’s still ahead.

That right there is why I do what I do.

Photography isn’t about taking a pretty picture.
It’s about giving someone a moment to stop, breathe, and say…

“I made it.”

She wasn’t born cold… she became winter. ❄️

The truth is… I know her.

Because at one point in my life, I was her.

After enough hurt, enough loss, and enough disappointment, I built walls so high that no one could see the person I was underneath. It felt safer to become untouchable than to risk being hurt again.

This image isn’t just an Ice Princess.

She’s a reminder of the version of me that survived.

When I dreamed up this concept, I wasn’t chasing something beautiful. I was trying to tell a story that so many people quietly carry—the story of learning to protect your heart while still hoping someone will see beyond the ice.

A huge thank you to the incredibly talented , whose special effects makeup helped bring every detail of this vision to life. Together, we didn’t just create a portrait—we created a story.

And to sweet —thank you for trusting my crazy ideas. Thank you for sitting so patiently through 45 minutes of special effects makeup, only to give me about five minutes to photograph you before the makeup started falling apart. 😂 (IYKYK). Your willingness to embrace the messy process made this vision possible, and I’m so grateful for you.

This is why storytelling photography means so much to me.

Because every person who steps in front of my camera has a story. Some stories are filled with joy. Some with heartbreak. Some with healing.

My greatest masterpiece has never been the photograph.

It’s helping someone see the beauty in their own story.

Around here, we don’t just pose for pictures. We tell stories, make memories, dance a little, laugh a lot, and somehow turn ordinary moments into something you’ll treasure forever.

You’ll remember how you felt.
