Over the last decade, I’ve learned that growth doesn’t happen in the sessions where everything goes perfectly. It happens in the sessions that challenge you. The ones where the lighting isn’t cooperating, the kids don’t want to smile, the location isn’t what you expected, or you walk away thinking, “I could have done that better.”

Looking back at where I started compared to where I am now is a little surreal. Not because I’ve reached some finish line, but because… well…. Look. 😂🥰

Every client, every session, every success, and every mistake has helped shape the photographer I am today.

There’s a couple things special with these photos.

First, obviously, the people. 🌼

Second, these angles are showing a different point of view. They’re looking at me but this camera is looking at them. 🥹

And third, my 11 year old son took these photos. At my session yesterday I handed him my camera and we tag teamed different angles. These different perspectives are incredible. I’m extremely proud of him as his mom, but also as someone who also found joy behind a camera at such a young age and having the courage to dive right in. 🤍
