Sometimes you would never know from the pictures whether they actually liked the cake, didn't care for it or even just really hated it.

One little trick that has worked SO many times: I’ll take a piece of the cake away and add some of their favorite snacks in that spot. Boom. Suddenly it looks like they are happily smashing into their cake.

Because let’s be honest, some babies see a giant cake in front of them and think, “Yeah… I’m not touching that.” And that’s okay. I've had some eat the cake while beating it like a drum and others projectile vomit. You never know what you're going to get but their reaction is always SO FUN and memorable.

This little cutie has been coming to see me every month since her newborn session, and getting to watch her grow has been so much fun. 🥹

Every month brings something a little different, but I think my favorite has to be this sweet Little Red Riding Hood setup her mama brought. ❤️

I LOOOVE this bench I found when thrifting. Who else loves ducks and anything goose related? I have a porch goose out by the studio but I haven't had time to really decorate her this year.

Oh hey! 👋🏻 It’s been a minute. Here is a little life update.

Some of you may have noticed I haven’t been quite as active on social media lately. There’s actually a pretty big reason for that…

Surprise! I’m in nursing school. 😂

And even bigger news, I just started my LAST semester! 🎉

Photography hasn’t gone anywhere. I’ve still been working behind the scenes, photographing babies, editing galleries, and doing all the things… I’ve just taken a pretty big step back from social media this year.

Life has been busy, and honestly, social media has been one of the things I’ve been okay with putting on the back burner for a while. Between school, photography, family, and everything else life throws at you, something had to give.

But I wanted to pop on here and say that yes, I absolutely still plan to continue photography after I graduate in December. 🤍

I may just be a little more intentional about what I take on moving forward after passing the NCLEX. I’m considering narrowing in even more on the types of sessions I specialize in and offering a more limited number of spots each month.

Because the truth is, even with everything else going on, I still absolutely LOVE photography. I love documenting your families. I love the tiny details, the connection, the sweet newborn snuggles, and all the little moments that you’ll want to remember years from now.

So… I’m still here. Just a little quieter while I finish this very last semester. 😉

And I’m really looking forward to seeing what this next chapter looks like. 🤍

His little cheeks. 🥹 I have always loved kissing my boys' cheeks. I can still remember exactly how they felt, even years later.

One of the reasons I photograph so many little details is because I know how quickly they change. Those chubby cheeks, tiny lips, wispy hair, little fingers... one day, these photos become the things that bring all those memories rushing back.

If you looked through my phone today, you'd find countless close up photos of my youngest. His cheeks, his sleepy face, his little hands. I capture those moments whenever I can because I know they won't stay little forever.

My oldest? Not nearly as many. I was young, my phone camera wasn't great, and I didn't fully understand just how much those everyday moments would mean to me years later. I also wish I had invested in more family photos with him when he was little.

That's one of the reasons I do what I do. I'm not just photographing what your baby looks like today. I'm preserving the little things you'll miss the most someday. 🤍

Classic colors, timeless vibes, and one tiny hint of blue 💙

Simple maternity sessions like this will forever have my heart. I love a clean, elegant, and focused style. I have always leaned more towards simplicity, classic, editorial and bo***ir for my maternity photos. Bo***ir and editorial are my favorite, but I do sometimes use more glamorous gowns. What is your favorite studio style? I added what I consider as bo***ir at the end.

I have a feeling you can probably guess the gender 😉

I need to break out the bucket more often for newborn sessions! I love the hands-on chin pose inside a bucket, but I must say the table poses (baby alone on a backdrop) will always be my favorite.
