A question for April: if someone walked into your home and had to describe how it felt without referencing the furniture or the decor (just the feeling) what would you want them to say?

That answer has a lot to do with the work you choose for your walls. Art sets the emotional tone in a way that paint and furniture rarely can.

Would love to hear your answer in the comments. And if you are still working toward that feeling, "Incredible Reflections on Mono Lake" might be worth a look.

Earth Day is a good time to think about how we consume, and art is part of the conversation.

Investing in something made with care, designed to last, and tied to a specific practice is a great way to engage in mindful consumption. My work is made to last.

"Stormy Rock at June Lake Loop" is that kind of work. Happy Earth Day!

🐻 For hours she worked the treetops over the creek
behind my house, looking for fresh, yummy avocados,
then dropped straight down next door and settled on a rock.
One small sigh with that 'I’m done for the day' pup face.

I lined up a shot through the fence,
stepped on my dog’s squeaky toy, she turned, paw up,
looking past me for Mom… there it is 👋👋
then… for a split second, something passed between us. 🐾

Shot this in 2002. cheap camera, cheap film,
figured it was gone for good, turned to dust.
Turns out it was just sitting in a drawer, waiting for me. 😎

Moments like this are why I do what I do. IYKYK
How lucky am I?

There is a reason people often buy art during transitions. A new home. A new chapter. The end of something or the beginning of something else.

Art has always served as a personal marker, a way of saying, "This is where I was when I chose this." Your collection of wall art sort of becomes your biography.

What chapter are you in right now?

Would "Lightning Storm in Mojave, CA" be a good fit?

World Art Day is a good reminder that art is not a finished thing. It's a practice. One that continues because people choose to be part of it.

My collectors are collaborators in that sense. I make the art, they give it a home.

"Shhh, Mama's Sleeping - Sierra Madre Canyon" exists in my studio until someone brings it into a place that means something to them.

Let's collaborate. Get 25% off through Saturday. Code ARTDAY26.

World Art Day exists because someone decided that art, as a living practice, deserved a day of recognition.

"Ancient Bristlecone Sunrise" is part of that practice.

For an independent artist, it's a moment to reflect on what it all means and say thank you.

That's why I'm offering 25% off with code ARTDAY26.

World Art Day is a moment to acknowledge that making and collecting art is not a luxury reserved for institutions. It belongs to everyone.

A question worth sitting with today: what is the first work of art you remember truly stopping in front of? Not the most famous. Not the most expensive. The one that made you feel something before you had the language to explain it.

I'd genuinely like to know. Share it below.

"Tails of Christmas" is part of a collection of work made for moments like that one.

Happy World Art Day.

Art isn't decoration. It's a record of what we noticed, what moved us, what we wanted to hold onto. "Winter whispers & Fiery skies" is part of that conversation.

In honor of today, I'm offering 25% off in my shop through Saturday. Code: ARTDAY26.

Most people change their wardrobes with the season. Very few think to do the same with their walls.

Spring is actually one of the best moments to reassess what you are living with, not to redecorate constantly, but to ask whether the work on your walls still reflects who you are right now. Art is not furniture. It should evolve with you.

If you have been waiting for a reason to make a change, here's your permission slip.

"San Clemente Surf & Sandpiper" is part of a growing collection.
