100 years ago - the spark of innovation that eventually lead to a job that I never anticipated thanks to The Philadelphia Orchestra and Bell Labs. My great grandfather, Anton Torello, was the principal bass player at that time, and it always brings me great joy to occasionally work with that same orchestra today as a camera operator. Congrats to Mendelssohn Chorus! I'm looking forward to photographing your next concert.

Exciting news! Mendelssohn Chorus is thrilled to share that we've been awarded the Advancement of Music grant from The Presser Foundation! 🎼

General operating support is truly vital for small organizations like ours, and we're incredibly grateful for their continued commitment to our mission.

We are also thrilled to have received support from The Presser Foundation towards deepening our collaborative practices with Commonwealth Youth Choir. This beautiful image, captured by Sharon Torello of Torello Productions, showcases our first collaborative concert with C*C, "We are Waves," from February 2023. And there's more to come! Stay tuned for details about our upcoming collaboration with C*C this April!

Happy New Year! The latest Piffaro, The Renaissance Band concert is now streaming and it's a true beauty of mostly medieval, mostly meditative music. I recommend a comfy chair, a favorite beverage, and a cozy throw blanket, to set the tone. It will be streaming until January 16th. Here's a highlight.
