I managed to steal a couple of hours away from the grind to celebrate Earth Day and it was exactly what I needed. Nature is my happy place - it's where I find my purpose. Lately, it's been easy to feel trapped, but the fresh air and trees reminded me to breathe. Here's to finding peace in the little things. I hope you too are able to find your peace in nature.

Debating more dog content amongst my adventure photos. If you are not already acquainted, this is my 12.5 year old husky Nyla. She is funny, judgmental, sassy, and furriest friend. She enjoys time in the backyard with her sister Sabine, playing ball by herself, getting head scratches, and judging her humans.

Sifting through photos from our trip out west and I'm reminded of the incredible surprise that was Theodore Roosevelt National Park. The badlands, bison, prairie dogs, wild horses, rivers, valleys, and trees all came together to create a landscape that's both hauntingly beautiful and strangely comforting. I can see why Theodore Roosevelt would've wanted to escape to this place. If you ever have the opportunity to visit, I highly recommend it

The bison don’t move for anyone. They drift through the Badlands like punctuation in a sentence the earth has been writing for millennia — slow, deliberate, belonging to every inch of this place. To witness them here, on protected land, in the landscape they were nearly taken from, is to feel the full weight of what we almost lost.
Wander grateful. Roam wild.
