Looking forward to another amazing day of festivities, talent, music, artwork, and the yummy food trucks that show up for the Madison Street Festival.

❤️🤍💙 Only 2 Months Until the Madison Street Festival! ❤️🤍💙

In 8 weeks, Historic Downtown Madison will be filled with music, food, shopping, entertainment, and thousands of smiling faces.

But before Festival Day arrives, we'd like to introduce some of the people working behind the scenes to make it all happen. (Pictured are many of the dedicated volunteers who serve on our Planning Committee.)

The 2026 Planning Committee has spent months meeting, organizing, fundraising, recruiting sponsors, coordinating vendors, collaborating with local businesses, working alongside the City of Madison, and managing countless details so our community can enjoy a free day together. They are your neighbors, friends, business owners, parents, and dedicated volunteers, united by one goal: creating an amazing day for YOU.

On October 3, you'll see our Planning Committee throughout the festival wearing their red, white, and blue shirts❤️🤍💙. They're there to answer questions, solve problems, and help keep the festival running smoothly.

You'll also see more than 200 Festival Day volunteers in bright orange shirts 🧡💛🧡helping with everything from setup and parking to information booths and children's activities. Together, these volunteers are the heart of the Madison Street Festival.

I had such a fun afternoon with the Stone Legacy Realty team exploring downtown, chasing color, rooftops, alleyways, and city streets to create a mix of polished, professional, and personality- filled images they can use in their marketing for months to come!

Sometimes the best moments come from the plans that don’t go as expected.

Yesterday, I showed up expecting to photograph a podcast session, but when a scheduling conflict left the guest unable to make it, the day took an unexpected turn. Instead of wasted time, it became something even better... an hour filled with brainstorming, big ideas, fresh perspective, and meaningful conversation with Brian & Courtney Smith.

What could have been a canceled appointment turned into creative fuel that the man upstairs knew I needed. I left feeling inspired, energized, and reminded that sometimes the most productive pivots happen when we’re willing to embrace the unexpected.

I am so grateful for conversations that spark new vision- and for people who help breathe life into ideas that are still taking shape. ✨

The grand finale to an incredible day.

After documenting Hadrian’s ribbon cutting, the evening closed out with a private performance by Lynyrd Skynyrd 🎸

Honored and grateful to have been contracted by Hadrian to document the ribbon cutting of their new 2.2 million square foot manufacturing facility where they will be building submarines for the U.S. Navy.

It was an incredible day bringing together local and national leadership, including Secretary of the Navy, John C. Phelan, US Senators Katie Britt & Tommy Tuberville, US Representatives Robert Aderholt, Barry Moore & Mike Rogers, State Representative Kerry Underwood, Jamie Kiel, among many other local and state officials.

A special moment led by Hadrian's CEO Chris Power, whose vision brought new life to a once abandoned facility is now positioned to play a critical role in our nations future.

And to close it all out... a private performance by Lynyrd Skynyrd (see next post for those images)
