The Lynchburg Amphitheater became the perfect backdrop for a night of Southern rock, timeless songs, and 50 years of music history as 38 Special brought their 50 Year Legacy Tour to town.
With the lights of the stage reflecting and stretching out over the river beside them, the atmosphere was something special. That view, those lights, and the unmistakable sound of 38 Special came together for one unforgettable night.
Five decades of songs, miles of touring, and a legacy that continues to connect with generations of fans.

Having the opportunity to photograph Rome Ramirez for the second time was something I truly appreciated. This time, the show in Columbia, Maryland brought together incredible energy, and passionate fans at the amazing Merriweather Post Pavilion . Being part of the Amazing lineup up of Rome, 311, Dirty Heads and Ocean Alley
Rome has built an impressive career by stepping into one of the most recognizable catalogs in reggae rock as the frontman of Sublime with Rome, performing alongside original Sublime members Eric Wilson and Bud Gaugh beginning in 2009. During his time with the band, he helped release four studio albums while touring the world and carrying the music of Sublime to a new generation of fans. Beyond that, Rome has made his mark as a songwriter, co-writing the Dirty Heads hit "Lay Me Down," which reached No. 1 on Billboard's Alternative Songs chart, and has collaborated with artists across the reggae and alternative music scenes.
Watching Rome continue his solo journey while staying true to the spirit that made so many fans connect with his music has been inspiring. Being trusted to capture those moments for a second time is something I don't take for granted. Huge thanks to Rome, his team, and everyone who made the night unforgettable. Absolutely honored to have done some work again for the insanely talented Rome Ramirez last night with Dirty Heads and 311. Finally got to sit back and enjoy a show without looking through the half the time too. Ocean Alley was incredible to see too. I dont think ill ever get used to just being around my favorite bands and getting to know some of these guys and their incredible crews too. 🙌🏽🤙🏽

Every time I photograph these guys, I'm reminded why they're considered THE best Sublime tribute band! They don't just play the songs—they bring the same energy, groove, and respect that made Sublime's music timeless. From the first note to the final song, the crowd was completely locked in.
What I appreciate most, though, is that Badfish isn't just about honoring the classics. Their original music stands on its own, showing the talent and creativity that make them much more than a tribute.
Always grateful for the opportunity to capture another incredible performance at the historic Dr Pepper Park with the Roanoke star lighting the stage.
