A little magic from last night. ❤️

This beautiful family has been coming to me for years, back when they were just a family of three. Now they’re a family of six! I love getting to watch my families grow through the years.

Last night, I also had a special assistant join me. My daughter! Turns out Robux is a pretty great form of payment. 🤣

And while this session was all about their beautiful family, I wanted to share a little something just for mom and dad. ❤️

Lake Superior agates symbolize strength, protection, and lasting love. 🤎

We intentionally wove their symbolism throughout our North Shore Retreat sessions.

For these two, stacking stones became a little prayer for their love and the chapter they’re in today. At the very top, a heart shaped agate.

It’s the meaningful details that tell the story.

You know my work. But how well do you know the woman behind the camera?

Let’s have a little fun, shall we?

Are you really a Jersey girl?
Not even close! Born and raised in the Northwoods of Wisconsin. I’ve called New Jersey home for 20 years, but you can take the girl out of the Midwest…

Wait, you weren’t always a photographer?
Nope! At 20, I was flying the friendly skies as a flight attendant. Apparently, I’ve never been very good at staying in one place!

What would your 25 year old self think of you today?
She’d be pretty damn proud. I’d already weathered some serious storms before packing up my life and moving to New Jersey. Twenty years, four kids, one husband, and a whole lot of life lessons later, here we are. Still standing. Still laughing. Still chasing adventures.

What’s life like outside of photography?
Four kids, a husband, one very elderly Pomeranian named Dante (aka Doodle Doo), a house full of personalities, and never a dull moment. Some days I’m running a business. Other days I’m just trying to remember why I walked into a room.

What’s something people often misunderstand about you?
I’m genuinely a nice person and will go out of my way for people I care about. But mistake my kindness for weakness, and you’ll quickly learn I have no problem walking away without another word. No drama, no big announcement. Just done.

What’s one thing you’ve stopped giving a damn about at 45?
Trying to please everyone. There are a lot of as****es in this world, and I’ve officially retired from entertaining them. Perks of getting older!

What’s your idea of a good time?
A spontaneous road trip, mountains, good company, a whole lot of laughing, and probably coming home with a thousand photos nobody asked me to take.
