The miracle of pregnancy will never lose its wonder on me✨

Every time I step into a maternity session, I feel like I’ve been invited into something deeplyyyy sacred. It’s a season filled with so much more than just growing a baby (and that’s a lot on its own)! It’s full of hope, waiting, surrender, joy, and a love that’s already overflowing before you’ve even met that sweet little baby.

Having walked through both the heartbreak of loss and the joy of carrying life, I know how much this season can hold. That’s why getting to capture these quiet moments of anticipation and excitement before everything changes is one of the greatest honors of my job.

This session reminded me exactly why I love maternity photography so much! I could feel the love these two have for each other and their children through my camera!! Their chemistry was undeniable, and you could tell that being parents is one of their greatest joys. Baby #5 is already so deeply loved and is about to be welcomed into such a beautiful family! 🥹🤍✨

hot take: courthouse weddings are about to be the next big trend ✨

I genuinely wish someone had told me what I’m about to tell you back when I was getting married!

You can still have a first look, private vows, your dad walking you down the aisle, a first dance, your dream dress, gorgeous photos, and the people you truly love celebrating with you. You can still get ready with your favorite people, pop champagne, cry happy tears, and make the day feel completely you!!

The only thing you’re leaving behind is the pressure, and the unnecessary stress! Instead, your wedding day becomes slower, more intentional, and full of moments you’ll actually remember!

I’ve never heard someone regret having one… only people who regret not having one🤍💍✨

✈️✨ Birthday milestone sessions are about SO much more than capturing the tiny details and sweet smiles (though those matter too!)

I want to capture who they are in this exact season of life, their personality, their quirks, and the little things that make them THEM right now!

I want them to look back on these photos as adults, and for their own kids to feel like they would’ve been friends with them at that age.

Every dance move, every sweet glance at mom, every silly face, every little airplane zooming through the room…

These aren’t just pictures to me. They’re a time capsule for future you. 🤍

Do you ever just sit in awe of how God led you to a specific moment?

As I was editing Henry’s 2nd birthday photos, I couldn’t get over how adorable he is with his little horse and trash truck. But as I zoomed in and out of each image, I started noticing all the little details…features that were so clearly from his mom and others that were definitely from his dad. And then all of a sudden I was deeeep in my nostalgic feels😅

For this exact moment to exist, so many things had to happen!

My husband had to become best friends with Henry’s dad in junior high. Henry’s dad had to fall in love with his mom around that same time. They all had to end up at Texas Tech, where Henry’s mom became my little in our Christian sorority. We became best friends, and just a little while later she introduced me to my husband. Then we all got married, started families, and are now raising this beautiful second generation of friends together!

How amazing is that?

It’s such a reminder that every moment matters. Every relationship matters. God is always weaving together a story far bigger than we can see in the moment…

So don’t miss the chance to document it!! One day, the photos you take today may tell a story you never realized God was even writing in the moment! 🤍
