Some sessions just hit different. 🥹

I met Braelin for the very first time when she was four years old. FOUR. I was brand new to photography, figuring things out as I went, and her mom had been referred to me by a fellow Army friend. Not long after, I was photographing their engagement… then their wedding… and now here we are—senior photos.

We started at Carmichael’s Bookstore in the Highlands (where the staff happily told us to take all the pictures we wanted 🫶), grabbed some impromptu frames against the iconic black brick at Bellwether, and finished up in Cherokee Park around Hogan’s Fountain. A perfect Louisville afternoon.

Seeing Braelin and her mom again after 12 years felt like flipping through an old photo album. Equal parts nostalgic, emotional, and “how is this even real?” Braelin has grown into such a confident, beautiful young woman, and getting to capture this season of her life felt incredibly full circle for me.

These are the moments that remind me why I picked up a camera in the first place.
Also… a gentle reminder that time is moving whether we’re ready or not 😅

Braelin, it was truly an honor. Senior year looks good on you. 💙✨

I adore this family so much 🥹

I first met Samantha years ago when I was photographing a wedding and she was the videographer — we hit it off instantly, and it honestly feels like I’ve known her my whole life.
