Had a great time last night at House of Bardstown in Louisville. We had absolutely no idea what to expect from this event, but it was a lot of fun. Have you ever tried bourbon and pop rocks?

Met some new people, saw some familiar faces, and drank some great whiskey. I hadn’t picked up a Discovery 11 yet but got to try it for the first time at the event. Of course when we got back to the BBC Louisville location I had to pick up a bottle before we headed home.

Dark, cold, dreary Dry January has come to an end. As if the Good Lord knew, he marked the occasion with the first day of sunshine I have seen in far too long.

I am kicking off Sopping Wet February by cracking my 1924 which has been sitting on the whiskey shelf mocking me for weeks. And upon savoring the first sip, I must say…it was worth the wait.

These adjustable gas blocks that is using on their suppressed rifles are pretty slick. Coming in different lengths to accommodate various handguards, they make gas adjustments extremely easy and fast. And they look great peaking out from under the slim and light M-Lok handguards.

Does a Sam the Cooking Guy 7” Nakiri make a simple bacon and tomato sandwich taste better? Yesterday my lady and I got to check out a very unique whiskey experience courtesy of Ryan and Kenny of /

They opened up sort of a test and tune trial run for their upcoming experience to a local FB group. Very cool getting to hear how they got started and listening to Ryan get excited talking about barrels and blending. We got to taste a good bit of whiskey and then fill our own bottles from our favorite barrels one whiskey thief at a time.

We ended up bringing home three, she picked a Rye blend, I picked a B Blend Bourbon and then we picked an A Blend Bourbon together.

Amazing time, and I can’t wait to see what their final location and full experience will be.
