Childhood for me was running wild and free, barefoot on our farm in Kentucky – picking wildflowers, making forts with my brothers, and losing myself in the daydreams that consumed me. I like to think that this early love of nature and wild spirit carries on in my photography, as I get to capture my clients in some of the most stunning landscapes on the planet.

As an adult, my wanderlust took me

to many amazing places, companies, and after many years chasing the corporate dream, I left a Fortune 500 company to start my own business.

It’s here at home, that we’re finding a new love for the beauty that only true Southerners understand, and trying to give our best to our children. It’s all for them really isn’t it?

I’ve found motherhood and family to be the most precious gifts this life has given me and I strive to find and create beauty in those relationships daily. It’s that inspiration and gratitude that enables me to seek and capture authentic moments for the families, couples, and little babies that I get to meet. I hope to meet you and capture your story in a way that makes you feel the poetry of your own life.

A lot of you don’t know that I wasn’t posting as much on social media due to an accident I was in that injured my neck and back pretty substantially… so much so, that I was unable to hold my camera and take photos for months. Through physical therapy (still ongoing) and many neurosurgeon discussions, we finally have a plan of action and strength back in my fingers. Numbness is still present, but Im learning to live with it and still praying for complete healing.

So, I have a few recent weddings I get to share and this past weekend, Sarah & Vince with their intimate gathering and WOW, the history!! Also, all the beautiful photo op spots throughout the venue and surrounding Shelbyville streets were 👌🏼

Not too long ago, in a galaxy not too far away, was a wedding with epic intertwining themes from Star Wars, Harry Potter, and LOTR.

It was incredible and small, and every detail heartfelt. And of course, being a fan of all three of the sagas, it was such a fun day for me personally.

I asked John when I was 17, to flex his bicep for me while sitting in our church youth group building. He asked me on group date to go snow tubing (I still have our tickets 🎟). I watched him in high school weightlifting, from the University of Louisville stands in his tight football pants (rawr) and the rest is history. 15 years, two babies, a couple states, & several houses later, here we are back home in the 502 loving life ⚜️

Being able to work with my best friend at weddings, watching him make people laugh alongside me, doing what we love, is absolutely the best blessing.

If you booked John and I in 2022 & 2023, I’ll apologize in advance for making googly 😍 eyes at him now and then.

Trying to find time to post from the busiest wedding season of my life, and incredibly thankful… grateful.
Through what could have been a rough two years as a small business owner, became my most successful seasons, and surpassed any expectations.
Believing in and knowing God will carry you, when you’re faithful, giving to others, tithe, and plant the seed of faith with full expectations of a blessing… His love NEVER fails 🙏🏼

Be blessed in this season and remember the true purpose, friends. It’s not about buying, rushing, and doing… it’s about celebrating the meaning of our faith as Christians. Jesus came to earth.
Take a step back and be intentional with your time this coming week.
Make every moment worthy.
