Goodbye to Barbara Morrison, just late last year around December of 2021, I had a surprise chance to perform with her at her own Cultural Center in Leimert Park. I had driven over there busted rotator cuff in the whole thing and been asked to go up on stage and join the Jazz Band and suddenly they wheeled her over in a wheelchair gave her the mic and she sang a song. Sadly she passed away this week. Now I'm struggling with my own dire health situation, but I wanted to make one post on this page recognizing her. She was a nice gracious lady & the center named after her has so many cool events. Jerzy does a jazz event monthly.
I played less than 6 months ago there for another man who died during his hospital procedure, scary!
