How do you feel about writing your wedding vows?

A bit nervous?

Unsure where to start?

Here’s a few tips that can help you get the process started:

- Write out a list of the things you love most about your future spouse.

- For each quality, then write a specific memory you have where you saw them showcase that quality in an impactful way. How did that make you feel? What makes that memory stand out to you?

- Connect those qualities to impact. How has this person changed your life for the better? What was your life like before them? How will it be different going forward?

- Choose six specific promises you can make, three that are meaningful and three that are a bit humorous. Keep them specific to your relationship, not mere platitudes or vague expressions that carry little value.

These are just a few of the exercises we take our couples through to help them write and read vows that will be wholly unique ingredients to telling their personal love story in their wedding film.

No two first looks will ever be the same. And that’s why they’re beautiful.

Some couples become a sobbing mess. Some are quiet and somber. Some, like Amanda and Kai, are just giddily happy to see each other in their pristine wedding outfits.

Whatever the reaction is, it’s something genuine and true to each couple. And that’s just one of the reasons we encourage every couple to have one.

Join hundreds of couples who have already taken action to capture their first look moments! Here’s how: Follow .

Nine years. Countless challenges. And somehow, every hard conversation ended the same way: laughing together and choosing each other again.

Before their wedding film premieres, here are a few postcards from Gabriela and Byron’s story. A story that started with coffee, pie, and a walk through Little Tokyo. A story that weathered loss, uncertainty, career changes, family challenges, and seasons that could have pulled them apart. A story built by two people who never stopped showing up for each other.

These little moments are only a glimpse into what made their wedding day so meaningful. The full film captures the laughter, the tenderness, the nostalgia, and the quiet strength that carried them here after nearly a decade together.

Their film premieres soon.

Comment POSTCARD and we’ll send you the link as soon as it goes live.

Pro tip: don’t forget to carve out time on the wedding day just for you two.

No guests.

No events to perform.

Just you and your photographer and videographer enjoying unstructured time with the glow of the sun around you.

These are the shots that will make your film shine, that let you relax, unwind, and be yourselves to the truest degree. A space to let you savor this day and reflect on what you have accomplished on your wedding day.

So now the question becomes: Why NOT capture your love in a sunset scene? This is your sign - take action! All you need to do is comment ‘SUNSET’.

We still remember this moment six years ago:

March 2020.

COVID was unleashed on the world.

All events were completely shut down.

And our bride Megan was in tears.

The wedding she had dreamed of for years could not happen. No large gathering of her family and friends. No big celebration with dancing late into the night.

Basically the worst outcome you can imagine.

As we discussed future plans for the wedding and the inevitable changes that would need to be made, we shared one thought that had never occurred to us before:

“You need to talk about this in your wedding film.”

Sounds strange, doesn’t it? To talk about sadness, loss, difficulty and challenge in a day that’s supposed to be about joy, celebration, and happiness.

And yet it was the most powerful thing that Megan ever did. And her video shows it.

Instead of a wedding video that tried to pretend that everything was perfect and wonderful, it spoke truth. That life is hard sometimes. That every wedding has challenges, big or small. And that overcoming challenge is what makes the wedding day the accomplishment it is meant to be.

Eventually Megan and Garret were able to pivot to a very different kind of wedding. Only ten guests at a small hacienda, with a quiet ceremony and an intimate dinner. Not what they had originally envisioned, but something still beautiful and perfect for them. And now they have a wedding film that captures everything - the unique joys of the day, the sweet memories of their relationship as it grew, and yes, the heartaches and trials that knocked them down.

Happy anniversary you two. Congrats on hitting six years together, and thank you again for trusting us to guide your love story. You two are the best. ❤️

It’s been four years since Marina & Romany’s wedding, and we’ve never had one quite like it.

Smoke bombs galore.

A five foot tall wedding cake.

Five separate locations.

And an epic Zaffa dance to kick off the night.

To all Egyptian couples who are looking for a video team: we would love to film your wedding day like this. Bring it.

And happy anniversary you two. May each year continue to be as amazing for you as this wedding day was.

Imagine one day you’re cleaning out your parent’s (or grandparent’s) closet and you found their old wedding film.

What would you be feeling as you watched it for the first time?

Age?
Wistfulness?
History?
Nostalgia?

Old films and home movies have an undeniable character that glues you to the screen. A texture, a palette that pulls you back in time and imbues you with emotions few other things can.

Now imagine your wedding film could have that same feel. That same sense of history, of memory, of nostalgia. Nothing artificial. A genuine journey to a way back moment.

That’s the beauty of Super8 and 16mm film. Real cameras from the 1960s shooting real motion picture film, full of imperfection, texture, and age preserving all the moments big and small from your wedding day. A home movie unlike any other.

Nowadays, every wedding video we create includes motion picture film. And we’d love to put that format to work for your story.
