The su***de prevention fence project along the 118 / 23 overpass is still in progress. Over 6,400 feet of fencing is being installed on both sides of the bridge.
Caltrans originally anticipated about a 5 month build starting in October 2025.
I haven’t noticed major closures so far, but the bridge is definitely narrower to make room for crews.
Probably a good idea to slow it down here and not drive right next to another car or a giant truck.
