Grateful to call this my full time job. Shooting, editing, creating, telling stories.
These are from our Toast to Santa Monica event. I tried to keep the edits under 100 but ended up with 150, and this was actually the least I’ve ever shot at an event. No full memory cards, two cameras, just being present. I even got to shoot alongside one of my MVG kids which made it that much more special.
This one felt like our Super Bowl. Doesn’t get bigger than this for us. I got to connect with donors and sponsors, have real conversations, and even open doors for future work with their teams.
I can feel myself taking the right steps, but the battle in my mind is still there. Some days I lose. Then I create and for a moment it all quiets down. That feeling never lasts as long as I want it to, but the fact that it exists at all reminds me there’s more to keep going for.
Watching these kids grow up is the part that hits the hardest. Some are heading off to college, moving on from the club. They’re not my kids, but I feel it. I’m proud of them. Proud I got to be a small part of their story.
This one meant everything to me.
