Perspective.
We've heard it said sometimes we just need a fresh perspective.
We also need to use discernment, wisdom and evaluate absolute truth vs relative truth, deception, lies, false teachings and manipulation.
(John 8, 2 Timothy 3, Matthew 24, etc.)
When we also take a realistic look at how reasonable our goals, energy assessment, timeframes, efforts and actionable steps were we can begin to see areas of positive actionable change. Have you ever set a S.M.A.R.T. goal just to let it fizzle, because something didn't work, but you didn't make that adjustment of WHY it didn't work?
Now somethings are out of our control. My Mom dying last year, the LA Fires, my cat's UTI, the apt flood, the bugs, ex roommate's suicidal threats, etc. are all some of the things that set me back this year that have been mostly out of my control and required a significant time, effort and energy shift that I am still recovering from.
What perspective is blocking you from seeing the truth today?
What lies have you been believing about your calling, goals, purpose, skills, desires, relationships, energy levels, timeframe expectations, etc.?
What can you do today to gain perspective, gratitude, hope, insight and a fresh list of actionable steps?
What is one thing you can do today to shift the way you move towards your goals?
This photo is an example of looking for fresh insight. I snapped it at the end of a hike last night at Kenter Trailhead near Mandeville Canyon north of Brentwood in Los Angeles, CA, because I want to make pine soda to share on my page and basically learn more about the plants around me, their names and purposes and the process to use their benefits. So I needed to see the bark, the needle formation and count and those finer details that help set a Red Pine from a White Pine or even Spruce and other conifers apart from each other.
I hope this post helps remind you to share joy and beauty, be curious and inquisitive and stay grateful and full of fresh hope and perspectives that move you closer to your goals and absolute truth.
