She Sees was part of the most inspiring event last week in Los Angeles, where a panel of powerhouse womxn filmmakers talked about to create change for womxn of color in the film industry.

Our leader and mentor Natasha McCrea shared so many of her insights, from her experience as a producer, actress, women's empowerment coach and mentor. We feel lucky to have Natasha as part of our team, and this event reminded us that the work we're doing matters.

If you want to support She Sees' mission as a volunteer or donor, visit shesees.org to find out how you can help us inspire and empower the next generation of diverse womxn filmmakers.

"Attempting to reflect a target population is a common practice in many fields that use surveys. It’s not clear to me why movie rating sites don’t do it — or, at the least, why they don’t indicate that their scores are almost all based mostly on the opinions of male users."

Women are a much smaller share of IMDb raters than men, even though women make up more than half of the movie-going population.
