2026 Calendar - Scenes from Historic Route 66 - Every year I do a limited run of unique calendars with my photography and they are an inexpensive way of having some of my work to view all year around.

The 2026 calendars subject matter is ‘Route 66’ with various color photographs of the Southwest corridor of this historic US Highway.

Route 66 was established in 1926 and decommissioned in 1985. Known as the “Mother Road” Route 66 was a historic east/west 2,400 mile highway. The route symbolized American freedom and facilitated westward migration and post-war tourism.

Get your calendar for $28 dollars which includes the USPS shipping anywhere in the US, for anyone outside the continental US. Please contact me about shipping costs.

To purchase this calendar or for any inquiries please click on the link in my bio and send me your contact info.
Or you can send a email to [email protected] for a quick response to any inquiries. #2026

Mark Peacock Photography and Aurora Blue Studio are proud to support for their ‘Story Teller ‘fundraising gala at the historic in Beverly Hills. Thursday, October 23, 2025 from 6:00 PM 9:00 PM
Saban Theatre - 8440 Wilshire Blvd. Beverly Hills, CA 90211

We’re honored to donate a signed, framed fine art print titled Windward & Pacific for their upcoming charity auction. This striking night scene depicts the iconic intersection beneath the glowing Venice bulb sign that stretches across Windward Avenue.

The sign is a replica of the original, first installed in 1905 by visionary developer Abbot Kinney to draw visitors to his new seaside resort, Venice of America. The original disappeared sometime in the 1950s, but in 2007, a faithful reproduction was installed—bringing a piece of Venice’s storied past back to life and once again lighting up the heart of the community.

The Storyteller Awards is Venice Arts’ new signature fall fundraising event. A dynamic short film awards night celebrating the power of youth storytelling. The evening honors standout alumni from our acclaimed Digital Storytelling Pre-Apprenticeship, showcasing their original short films and creative achievements on the big screen. Guests will enjoy an inspiring program alongside curated appetizers, cocktails, and a lively silent auction, all in support of Venice Arts’ mission to empower marginalized youth through photography, filmmaking, and media arts. Tickets can be purchased at https://www.venicearts.org/gala-give/p/purchase-gala-tickets See you there!

I'm happy to be chosen to be in another amazing group photography exhibition at the Chateau Gallery.
The theme of this exhibition is 'Beauty in Decay' and it runs from July 1st to August 1st.
My photo "55 Gallon Drums" is included with the other wonderful photos by this talented group of photographers.
From the Chateau Gallery -
Beauty is subjective in the eye of the viewer. Societal conventions pressure us to conform to like-mindedness, yet the most ethereal craft often originates from divergent work that transgresses tradition. True innovation and creative brilliance often occur when individuals question or break away from established norms.

I'm happy be participating in another group art exhibition at the Chateau Gallery this month from Oct. 1st – Nov. 1st
My photograph 'A prayer for the Departed' is included with all the other fine images and photographers for this unique art show for the month of October.

Memento Mori is a profound and evocative theme in photography, focusing on the transient nature of life and the inevitability of death. This concept, rooted in the Latin phrase meaning "remember that you must die," encourages a deep reflection on mortality and the passage of time. Memento Mori can be a powerful reminder of the fleeting nature of our existence, a source of comfort and inspiration, and that we should make the most of our remaining time on this mortal coil. Show us, what makes life worth living, and how does one cope with the certainty of death?

I'm happy to be included in another group photography exhibition at the Black Box Gallery in Portland OR. The show runs from Sept 1st - Sept 25th 2024 and the opening reception is Saturday Sept 7th from 3-5 pm. at 811 E Burnside St #212, Portland, OR 97214.

The photograph of mine that was selected for this art show is titled 'Chinatown' and is a photo of Gin Ling Way late at night right off of old Route 66 in the downtown Los Angeles section of Chinatown.

From Black Box Gallery:
Photography is the documentation of patterns of darkness and light. Shadows enhance the relationships of subjects in an image; they give definition and dimension, which complements the quality of the light values. Photographers have used dramatic shadows and patterns in black and white images and have also explored using ethereal and moody shadows and textures in color photography. Black Box Gallery will be exhibiting a range of how shadow and light are interpreted by contemporary photographers in this group art show.
