Basement Jaxx: MixMAg Cover, Armadillos and world destruction. This was right on the mark for these handsome humans. I paid two hundred bucks for the A-bomb image, maybe 20 bucks to rent the stuffed animal, a huge amount for the 90’s. Thank you again Ms Sioux Zimmerman, for all your love and help, and Darren Ressler Mixer master for all the great covers, but you should have let me shoot Daft Punk.

Erasure: The Breakdemic has me digging through my past, reliving moments of pride but more importantly, big learning curves from embarrassments. I really love Andy and Vince, but in 1996 I missed the mark in a shoot with them for MUTE records. I made these photos for myself rather than for my pop star, all technique, crunchy German expressionism.
Vince was very tack-full / kind on viewing the images after the fact, saying he liked the images, but Andy was honest…. to the point these photos are not about us.
I remember this was a turning point in my work.
I always say “I make images for my pop stars, I don’t put them in mine”….thank you Andy for being genuine, and happy B-day , you never age.
PS I do love the images tho…..long live the new flesh.

Cooler Kids-Smart fun and o so cute the duo of Kaz Gamble, vocalist Sisely Treasure. Healthy fun electro pop, my fave kind of tunes. Shot for DreamWerks with the creative control of the brave Frances Pennington. Brave because we shot this in a tacky hotel suite in the middle of a NYC blizzard. One for the records….. Loved these kids.

Livingmore~ New work, new humans “TAKE ME”, Alex, Spencer, Mike, and Rodrigo. Lucky for me these amazing bunch of musicians found me on instagram (thank you insta party). We did these images in my back yard and parking lot, I have had to sit on these for so long..Shoot in my little studio during the start of covid party, remember it is still going, so be safe. My roll of red tape and Lou the owl made an appearance!!!
Looking forward to the release of the live music video we did for the new single SHARP.
