We Want The Funk!!

Everybody's got a little bit of "the funk" in them. In some, it lies dormant, while others are digging through every nook and cranny for a crumb of funk (or as the kids say, "clout"

You also can't fake the funk. One must talk, walk, breathe and live the funkiness wherever they go. If you know , you'll probably agree that he embodies the funk. The creativity, drive, entrepreneurial mindset, consistency, quality that IS his essence is in everything that he does or creates.

ALL OF ‘EM. EVERY. SINGLE ONE. In case there is a sliver of doubt, or seed of contempt, do not ever forget that. And now, I digress..

Hello world. it’s been a while. The recent structrual shakeups that have manifested as ripples of change both inward and outward have affected us all, and I’m no exception.. While I’ve been socially distancingy, I’ve also been distancing myself from social media and re-shifting focus to what’s truly important - one step at a time. Patience has proven to be paramount in any and every situation, as the winds of change encircle us all. With that being said, I am very much looking forward to sharing my latest photographs over the course of the next few days as part of an new experimental endeavor titled “1 Picture 1,000 Words. But here’s two pictures and significantly fewer words to give you a preview of what’s to come very shortly.

Perspective Is Respective

The seats approximately 21,000 people, all of which have their own unique perspective ot the game. To put it another way, 21,000+ people are receiving the same sensory input and are observing and processing the same information in 21,000 difterent ways.

We all share a role in creating the collective experience, and we all share responsibility (to varying degrees) in what we choose to contribute to the rest of the worlds experience. Everything we experience externally is only a result of our collective internal processes. And for the most part, we're all just doing the best we can to hold onto whatever pieces of joy, purpose, and love we still have.

With that being said, I could get used to the view from a suite at Staples Center (thank you again ) , and I'll always know that I wouldn't be where I am without the people around me. We are all here for each other, so let's start living in the world we want by creating it wherever we go.

In honor of , I present "An Issue of Black and White", one of my favorite photographs that I've captured, and unsurprisingly, one of my most popular. The beauty and magic of photgraphs, especially when you take them, is their ability to transport you directly into that brief moment of time when the shutter opens and closes. Every memory is vivid. The sights, the smells, the sounds, and the circumstances surrounding these fleeting moments are one of the main reasons I love photography.
