“IN IT FOR THE LONG HAUL”
Celebrating 5 Years of NomadFigures • 2/22

NomadFigures was born during the pandemic, when the world slowed down and work in photography and videography disappeared. After retiring from live drumming and touring, I needed a new outlet. Something to build, create, and push forward.
A collector since 2009 and photographer since 2016, I began combining everything I loved: action figures, dioramas, lighting, digital work, and cinematic storytelling. Inspired by artists like .orbit, NomadFigures came to life.
The name is personal.
I’ve always felt like a nomad. An outcast, a rebel.
And somehow, I’ve always managed to figure things out.
Nomad. Figures.
The early days were simple. Phone tests, a DSLR, RGB lights, recycled materials, and raw determination. What followed was time, self-doubt, personal battles, and a few naysayers… then 1,000 followers in a month, collaborations, sponsors, and proof this was becoming something real.

My goal has always been cinematic realism. Blurring the line between toy and film, creating moments that feel pulled from a movie, built from plastic, light, and imagination.

None of this happened alone.

To my communities. The Lost Tribe and Yautja Prime.

To fellow artists turned friends .me.xerces .orbit.

To the brands who trusted my vision thank you.
..And to everyone who supported, shared, or simply stopped to look… I appreciate you more than words can express.

NomadFigures shaped me as much as I shaped it. Discipline, focus, consistency, growth, and confidence.

Five years later, I’m still evolving, still learning, still building worlds.

This isn’t a finish line.
It’s a lifelong path.

"Coming in Hot!" Happy New Year!

This destruction isn’t chaos for the sake of chaos. it’s breakthrough. It’s pressure giving way. It’s me pushing through everything that tried to stop me. Broken bridges, flying debris, and explosions aren’t the end of the road… they’re what happens when you refuse to stay stuck and decide to move forward no matter the cost.

2025 tested me hard! Car accidents, two hard drives crashing and taking work with them, a computer going down, missed opportunities that felt like they were right there… moments that could’ve easily made me stop creating altogether. There were days where it felt like everything I built was getting ripped apart piece by piece.
..But here’s the truth. I’m still here! Still creating. Still pushing. Still grateful.

I’m deeply thankful for everyone who stayed, supported, checked in, shared my work, and believed in me even when things were falling apart behind the scenes. Every comment, DM, and bit of encouragement mattered more than you’ll ever know.

This destruction isn’t the end. it’s the setup. I will arise. I will break through. I will rebuild stronger, wiser, and louder than before. Giants don’t stop because the bridge collapses… they move forward anyway.

Thank you for walking this path with me. Let’s make this year undeniable!

"Seek and Strike" It still blows my mind how Scorponok went from a massive G1 base in the 80s to one of the smallest Decepticons in the Bayverse. Wild evolution, but still pretty cool nonetheless.

This shot took a wild turn. About an hour of setup and lighting, then a full detour when my computer and Photoshop decided to break on me. Which took about a couple hours to fix, but got 'em done, and got back to work, composited for a couple hours, and spent another two just for color grading.
Long process… but worth every minute.

"Long Ago, 20th Century" One of my all-time childhood heroes.
Every Sunday noon in the 90s Philippines, life slowed down in the best way. It was my dad’s day off. The smell of grilled food in the air, tools scattered from fixing cars and motorcycles, something being built in the corner, and the TV playing Kamen Rider Black and every 80s Japanese hero we could find.

My pops was a professional dirt bike racer back in the 80s, so naturally, I always saw Kamen Rider Black like him. He rode his real-life “Battle Hopper” and “Road Sector” long before I even knew what those names meant. I’m on my bicycle pretending to be the Masked Rider.

I’ve actually had this figure for almost 10 years, but never had the chance to photograph it. Maybe I was waiting for the right moment or the "right" theme and shot? ...because yesterday, I ditched work prematurely just so my dad, my wife, and I could go for brunch together...And somehow, after all these years, shooting this figure finally made sense.

I may not ride anymore, but some things don’t leave you.
I still fix cars and enjoy building things.
My brother became the biker. A pro mechanic, a trucker...And even now, these characters hit different. They carry pieces of who we were, and the Sundays that shaped everything.

This moment isn’t just nostalgia.
It’s heritage.
It’s a reminder that some heroes stay with you. In memories, in family, and in the quiet moments where everything aligns again, even for just one cold rainy day.

Cherish the moments with your parents, family, friends and everyone you value. ...because remember, we're not here forever.

"Weight of the False Self"
Iron Monger has always been one of my favorite villain armor designs.
Heavy, mechanical, built to intimidate.
It makes you think about the armor some people wear in life. The masks, the façades, the false selves they carry to protect themselves, impress others, or hide from their own truths.

That weight can feel unstoppable, like steel pressing down from all sides.
The loudest, most intimidating people aren’t always the strongest. Often, they’re the ones carrying the heaviest versions of themselves that aren’t even real.
They’ve built a machine of expectation and fear around them, and it becomes exhausting to maintain.

But here’s the truth: real power isn’t in the mask.
It isn’t in the armor.
It’s in stepping out of the smoke, letting the weight fall away, and moving with authenticity.
The people who shed what isn’t theirs, who refuse to let the false self define them… those are the ones who actually stand tall.

So for anyone watching those who wear masks, remember this:
strength comes from clarity, courage comes from truth, and freedom comes from letting go of the weight that doesn’t belong to you.
You don’t need steel, noise, or intimidation to make an impact.
Show up as yourself. Stand unburdened. Move forward. And inspire others to do the same.

Stay true to yourself 🤘

"Blood and Steel"
Life’s been asking me to suit up in ways I didn’t expect. Healing, organizing, fixing, creating, showing up. ..But gratitude changed how the armor fits. Moving a bit different these days and a change of perspective. Slower, more mindful… but locked in. Even with a tight schedule the fire burns of inspiration.

This isn’t a comeback out of struggle… it’s a comeback out of appreciation.
Every day I get to create again is a win! ...And I’m here for all of it.

I am very grateful 🙏

"The Hunt Begins Again"
Getting back behind the lens lit something up inside of me ...and this shot pushed it even further.
The more I dive in again. Shooting, creating, editing, the more I remember why I love this. Especially editing!… it hits different, it's hella therapeutic. It’s where everything comes alive for me.
..And now we’re back to one, kicking things off this by shooting a Predator in the shadows, surrounded by fire, sparks, and steel. Just went with the classic Nomad style to keep the momentum rolling.

Stepping back into Nomad mode felt natural, like I never left.
..And now the hunt begins again!

"System Restored"
Life hit pretty hard these last few months. I needed some time to recover.
I was off the grid after a car accident, but like a T-800, I don’t stay down for long.

I didn’t realize how much I missed the whole process. Everything from shooting, setting up, planning. ...and most of all, the editing. It’s therapy for me. At first, I was afraid I’d be rusty… but the moment I got back behind the camera, and editing board everything flowed. Smooth. Natural. Like I never left.

Coming back won’t be instant. I’m still making adjustments and taking it slow. Now, can I keep up with the demand? I guess we’ll have to see. ...But I’m here, and I’m giving it everything I’ve got.

This is my first shot and edit after a long break.

Nomad is officially back!
Thank you all for the support
