Do I have any friends who know how to install aftermarket lights? Please help me out. 🙏🏻🙌🏻 My brake lights, turn signals, and back up lights worked just fine, but my taillights randomly stopped working recently. I took my car to a mechanic shop who thought could help me with this. I assumed they would use a computer to figure this out, but they did not. They told me that one of the LED lights burnt out which caused my taillights to stop working. I went to my auto body shop guy who installed these lights for me. The shop owner wasn't there, so one of his employees uninstalled my aftermarkets and installed my stocks. My stocks DO NOT WORK. There is something wrong with the main circuit board in my car. So my aftermarkets had been working just fine up until my auto body shop uninstalled them because the guy haphazardly/carelessly cut the wires just to remove my taillights.
A few weeks ago, I asked my auto body shop guy if my new headlights (also aftermarket) had something to do with my taillights not working and he said NO. I really think it is now because why else would the main circuit board be acting up? After I find someone who can figure out what's going on with the main circuit board and get it to work properly, I'd like to see if my taillights can be re-spliced and salvaged before I drop $300-$400 in new taillights. Please help me out. 🙏🏻🙌🏻
I DO NOT want to go back to stock lights. The mechanic shop who said my taillights were bad and my auto body shop...I DO NOT want to take my car back to them when it comes to aftermarket lights. None of the people who work at either shops are car enthusiasts and have made comments that I should not be spending money on aftermarket parts. They're basically making me feel dumb. Just because they don't modify their own cars. This is my car. If I want to modify it, it should be my choice.
