Happy Labor Day! 🇺🇸

A little reminder today to slow down, enjoy the people you love, and soak up the last little bit of summer. ☀️

Whether today looks like a backyard BBQ, a day on the lake, time with family, or simply enjoying a quiet Monday at home—I hope you get to enjoy it. 🤍

Here’s to the work we’re proud of, the people who make it worthwhile, and a little extra time to breathe.

Looking back to last summer around Breckenridge and Frisco, Colorado 🤎

There’s something about watching the sun come up over the mountains that makes everything feel a little quieter. You’re reminded how small you are, how big the world is, and how easy it is to get caught up in everything happening right in front of you.

A little over a year ago, I still love these photographs.

Maybe that’s one of my favorite things about photography—sometimes you don’t realize how much a moment meant to you until you get to look back at it.

There are a lot of places I love, but Northern Michigan has always felt a little different to me.

Maybe it’s because life just seems to slow down when I’m up there.

The mornings are quieter. Coffee takes a little longer. You spend more time outside. There’s usually a fire, a trail, a lake or river nearby—and somehow, doing absolutely nothing feels like doing exactly what you’re supposed to be doing.

I think that’s what keeps pulling me back.

It reminds me that I don’t always need to be productive or have somewhere to be. Sometimes I just need a cup of coffee, a stump to sit on, and a little time to take it all in. ☕️🌲

So for Episode 2 of Coffee with Kelsey, I’m taking you camping with me and talking about one of the places that makes me feel most like myself.

I truly do not care about my hair when we’re camping.

But apparently I draw the line at a crooked part. 😂

One little adjustment and suddenly I’m giving Cindy Lou Who.

Moms, please tell me I’m not the only one. 💀

My thoughts and prayers are with Dolly Parton’s family and everyone who loved her. 🤍

What an incredible legacy she leaves behind—not only through her music, but through her kindness, generosity, and the countless lives she touched.

The world truly won’t be the same without her.

Rest in peace, Dolly. 🌊🤍

A little coffee, a little storytelling, and a little more of the person behind the camera. ☕️

Welcome to the very first episode of Coffee with Kelsey.

I’ve always known photography would be part of my life, but I never imagined I’d one day own a photography business. In this series, I’ll be sharing the stories, little moments, creativity, and things that inspire me along the way.

So grab your coffee and come hang out with me. 🤎

This is just the beginning.

If you know me, you know coffee is part of the routine. ☕️

So I thought… why not invite you in?

Something new is brewing. 🤎

New Series — coming soon.

Growing up, my mom took photographs of us—not because something big or extraordinary was happening, but because she understood the value of remembering the everyday.

The birthdays. The holidays. The messy moments. The little seasons of life that felt ordinary at the time.

I know not everyone grew up with that. Some people have boxes of photographs, some have a handful, some have very few, and some have none.

And I think that’s part of why photographs have always meant so much to me.

They give us a way to hold onto the people we love and the seasons we never get back.

Maybe that’s why I believe photographs belong in our homes—not tucked away on a phone, but somewhere we can see them and remember. 🤍

Truthfully, most days are a blur of chasing a toddler, tackling laundry that somehow never ends, cleaning up after four pets, and trying to keep a house clean while living in the middle of a renovation. My husband does his best to keep me sane through it all.

It’s messy, it’s imperfect, and some days it feels like I’m always one step behind… but it’s our life. And honestly, I wouldn’t trade this season for anything.

Anyone else feel like they’re just trying to keep all the plates spinning some days? 🤎

Happy Fourth of July! 🇺🇸

Today is about slowing down, spending time with the people who matter most, and making memories that become part of your family’s story.

As a family-first business, I’m taking today to soak in these moments with my own family up north in Michigan—watching the fireworks, enjoying the river, and appreciating the simple moments that often become the ones we remember most.

Wishing you a safe, joyful Independence Day filled with laughter, love, and time well spent with those you cherish most. ❤️🤍💙
