Monday Florals 😍

Sitting behind the computer all day today, trying my hardest to play catch up. Which has been the theme of the year! This newborn / editing work balance has been one the toughest things to manage. Way harder than I expected if I’m being real with you.. Thanks for the grace.

So, just trekking away as much as I can today and thought that the groom & groomsmen flowers don’t ever get enough attention as the girls! Also my feed needed a little color, so I want to spotlight these GORGEOUS boutonnières .a.floralco created!

In a year where a lot has gone wrong, we stand still in thanksgiving over all the things that went right and the valuable lessons we learned through the thick. It taught us who to really hold close and even who we can truly count on.

We are sitting here thinking about our amazing clients who have made this year possible for our family. As a small business, every little thing matters. Because of you, your investment & sweet care for us has made it possible to keep a roof over our head and be able to weather the storm together. We will never take for granted what this year has taught!

Thank you for sticking by as the busy of the unknown has been a bit overwhelming at times, you still believed in us & supported us. Because of you we keep going and we are stronger than before.

In a year where a lot has gone wrong, we stand still in thanksgiving over all the things that went right and the valuable lessons we learned through the thick. It taught us who to really hold close and even who we can truly count on.

Well HELLO my people.

It’s coincidentally Friday, as I was typing this little intro into my season update for you! I can’t even begin to describe these last two/three months. Incredible, amazing, so beautiful... AND SO ON! 8 weddings is A LOT to keep up with in a short period, especially almost back to back.. I have dedicated every free moment to editing by pulling all nighters & marathons to deliver all the moments captured to these sweetest Brides of ours. We are forever grateful for your patience & trust in us throughout this busy season & also just crazy season in our world right now.

I’m actually updating our blog as I have moments here and there - SO If you’ve never checked out our stuff —Make your way over to our website that’s linked in the bio! We are almost CLOSED on our 2021 availability. We have about 2-3 available dates, we’d love to hear from you if you’d like us to capture your sweet day next year.

FUN FACT FRIDAY - We are next door neighbors with J&C Creative Co.! How cool is that?! We have so much love and respect for them, their heart & the amazing talent they have in this industry! We LOVE to work along side of them as much as possible for each other’s gigs!

I’m not exactly sure (Except GOD) how we lucked out so good with them being right next door to us + having the same dreams & passions. I get real sad thinking over how a lot of times this type thing can cause division between people in the Industry but for us, it’s so wonderful. We dream together, I ask advice a lot, we bounce ideas back and forth.. etc. It’s SO healthy and It’s been one of the very best friendships and business blessings in our life! but we just love y’all.

Make sure you have people along side you in this business who lift you up and encourage you. Not those who tear you down or play a comparison game with you. It IS possible to have the same dreams & passions and be able to thrive along side each other!

All that to say... Christian took some killer BTS shots last Saturday for me like this one and I am forever grateful. NOW, on to the weekend! After three wedding weekends in a row, we get to have a family weekend and are so thankful for this time.

August has been a HUGE month for us.

Thank goodness - For about 6 months or so I think we all felt uncertainty in all different ways but I tell you what.. it feels GOOD to be back in the swing of celebrating love stories. I feel refreshed and even excited to be slammed with work!

It’s WAY to late to be posting, so i’m going to keep this short & sweet!

Yesterday was pure GOLD. For many reasons but really I just can’t even express the amount of beauty captured in the moments as Kendra & Chandler shared this day. As I went to back up all the photos and footage, I just kept getting blown away by it ALL OVER AGAIN!

If you are a “picture perfect pose” and a “no hair out of place” kind of person - We might not be the right match for you!

You’re probably like - What?!

You see, as much as we LOVE those things to be incorporated we strive whole heartedly to protray exactly who you are most of all. As many times as you might catch yourself morphing into people you’d like to be, the reality is - there is only ONE of you! A beautiful realization - Let that sink down deep where it’s supposed to!

As a photographer we can have the same struggles with our work as a whole! We have to really take the time to make sure the way we run our buisness and take photos authentically to who we are as artists and not just a pure copycat of someone we admire.

All that to say: Don’t get me wrong we sure do like some perfect posing & perfect technicalities, but really.. We like YOU a whole lot more than those things.

I’m just scratching the surface of my thoughts on this topic, so here are a few of my favorite photo examples! If this is the kind of thing you are wanting to be captured - we’d love to hear how we can serve you!

Today’s elopement on Lake Chatuge was something SO special for us to capture.

From documenting the proposal to this beautiful elopement day with everything in between and LOTS more to come - Kyndel & Parker are like family to us!

COVID has really thrown a wrench into some big big plans and I love seeing my clients & friends overcome the hardship and make the absolute most out of the situation.

Today was beautiful, special, intimate and no doubt exactly how it was supposed to be! Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. LOVELACE! We love you!
