From waiting for her… to finally holding her. 🤍
I recently shared a glimpse of this sweet baby, followed by the maternity session that came before. Now I wanted to come back and share a little more of their newborn story.
Their journey into parenthood wasn’t an easy one, which made documenting both the anticipation of her arrival and these first days home feel especially meaningful.
There’s something I’ll always love about in-home newborn sessions—the nursery you prepared, the places you naturally hold your baby, and all the little pieces of home that become part of their beginning.
Someday, these photographs won’t just remind you how tiny your baby was. They’ll remind you what home felt like when they were this little. 🤍

You may recognize this sweet little face. 🤍

I shared her six-month milestone session a few posts back, but this is where her story with me began — her newborn session.

So tiny. So sleepy. Those little hands tucked beneath her chin.

There is something incredibly special about getting to photograph a baby in those first days, and then seeing just how much they’ve changed only a few months later.

This is why I love documenting the seasons of motherhood. 🤍

Mom had a vision for this precious one-year milestone session, and I loved getting to bring it to life. 🤍

I completely understand that not every family wants their images shared on social media, and I will always respect that.

I always ask permission before sharing images from a session. Some families are happy for me to share, some are comfortable sharing only certain images or images that don't show their baby's face, and others prefer to keep their session completely private.

This session is a beautiful example. Mom preferred to keep much of their session private, but she was comfortable with me sharing these images — and every image you see here was approved by her.

Whatever you choose is completely okay. These are your memories, and you get to decide how they're shared.

I wanted to share one of my favorite images from a recent in-home newborn session. 🤍

There’s just something I love about the simplicity of this moment—a new mama holding her brand-new baby close, standing in the soft window light of her own home.

And I think that’s one of the things I love most about in-home newborn sessions. Your home doesn’t have to be perfect, and every moment doesn’t have to be perfectly posed. It’s about documenting what this season actually feels like—the way you hold them, the spaces where you spend your days together, and just how tiny they are in your arms.

Because someday, those ordinary little moments are going to be the ones you wish you could step back into for just a minute. 🤍
