One for the Books

After finishing the season 52-8, making an appearance in the WCWS and having a dominant 27 game win streak, the Husker softball team solidified themselves as some of the best in program history.

I am so grateful that I was given the opportunity to capture moments like these in the postseason.

The Power of Primes

I made it my goal to shoot both of these gymnastics meets using only prime lenses. Prime lenses don’t zoom but have the benefit of creating sharper images with more blurry backgrounds compared to zoom lenses.

I really enjoyed this challenge as it forced me to be more purposeful with where I was standing and fill the frames without zooming. The 50mm lens was so versatile for this sport that I think I could’ve gotten away with having it as my only lens.

These photos from the gymnastics meets on 2/14/26 and 2/15/26 were shot using only the 50mm and 135mm (prime lenses).

I haven’t posted in a while so this is long overdue. Even though these pictures were taken over a month ago, I figured better late than never.
