There are times when you pass someone and get that gut feeling you should say hello. This was one of those moments.

I was leaving another shoot when I spotted Ed walking down the street. I’ve always loved street photography, but around here it’s not something you can catch very often or at all. I still wanted to compose an image that emitted that feeling. Someone simply living their life, completely unaware of the camera and I, just going about their day.

So… I tracked him down 😂, introduced myself, and asked if he’d mind if I photographed him from across the street as he continued on his way.

He was so kind and care-free about it and I’m really grateful he said yes. It made for a fun conversation, an even better photo, and, as always, a really enjoyable edit.

One of the biggest flying birds around North America so of course I wanted to stop and photograph it.

More specifically, American White Pelicans.
Spotted one on Lake Darling then in short time came another. To share some company….or maybe to herd fish together? Either way, I was there to see them simply exist.

My love for photography is only growing and this is one of those avenues in which it is. Photographing birds. Which has been fun to explore, and at 22, this is what fills my cup. 🤍
