We ventured out on Saturday to scout a location for an upcoming shoot… and somehow ended up on a little side quest at Soda City.

And BOY, are we glad we did.

It gave us the perfect excuse to put a new lens to the test and do what we love most—capturing people in their element, from our perspective.

We got to hear some seriously amazing sounds from OJM.Experience (and so many other talented musicians), had the absolute BEST wine tasting from Elwood Wine LLC, made a quick stop at one of our local (and personal) favorites— King's Jewelers —for a little ring refresh, and discovered even more incredible vendors along the way.

But more than anything, it was a sweet reminder of just how much our community has to offer.

Soda City has a way of bringing people, creativity, music, food, and experiences together—and we love getting to see it all from a different perspective.

Here’s to the unexpected side quests, new perspectives, and the stories we get to capture along the way.

We had the chance to capture Rusty Acres Farm Stand from both the sky and the ground, showcasing a local business that’s full of fresh, local goodness. From seasonal produce to homemade soaps, hand-poured candles, and other locally made products, there’s something worth stopping for every time you visit.

Supporting small businesses that pour their hearts into their community is something we’ll always be proud to do. (And yes… we may have left with a few goodies ourselves. 😉)

Some projects are about beautiful views.

Others are about bringing someone home.

When a client reached out with an idea unlike anything we’d done before, we couldn’t say no. She wanted us to capture the places that shaped her—the river she grew up floating, the campsites filled with childhood memories, and the small-town landscapes that still feel like home… even from 900 miles away.

We called it the “Hometown Special.”

At Rogue Sky Media, we believe in changing your perspective. Sometimes that means capturing a view you’ve never seen before. Other times, it means helping someone see the place they love through a whole new lens.

Getting to travel, tell a story from above, and give someone a piece of home they’ll always have is exactly why we love what we do.
