Looking to liven up your bathroom? Use my Earth Day Print Sale and Conservation Fundraiser to save 25%.

This might be the best wall art for a bathroom—and your purchase will help protect wild orangutans like this little guy.

I photographed “Live Streaming — Borneo 2020” in Gunung Palung National Park. It went viral that year for obvious reasons.

Order now—100% of proceeds go to Save Wild Orangutans.

Would you hang this anywhere else besides the bathroom?

Do you have a wall that needs vertical artwork? Take advantage of my Earth Day Fundraiser & Print Sale! 100% of proceeds of orangutan prints will be donated to Save Wild Orangutans and you save 25% on all open edition prints.

I call this piece "Mother's Pride." I photographed a mother and her infant high in the canopy and waited for this quiet moment. The warm reddish hair against the lush green leaves portrays their close bond in the rain forest.

From my National Geographic Collection - “Hoatzin - Wings Raised”. While working along Anangu Creek in Yasuni National Park, I watched a Hoatzin (Opisthocomus hoazin) lift its wings in a single, measured motion. The image presents the species’ unusual crest, and the delicate layering of feathers as it balanced on the branch.

Which detail draws your eye most: the russet tail, the barred underwing, or the spiky crest? I’d love to hear your observations. Limited fine-art prints are available on paper, metal or acrylic — this photograph would make a refined addition to a nature collection or study.

Fine Art Friday! I rose before dawn at Lake Kussharo and watched whooper swans rouse on the open water warmed by hidden hot springs. The meeting of warm outflow and cold air produced a low, milky mist that softened the light and rendered the scene almost otherworldly — a quiet scene of water, bird, and sky that I sought to convey. I was struck by how the swans’ simple gestures — an opening wing, a tucked head — organized the composition.

Which element draws you in first: the mist, the birds, or the distant snow rim? Tell me below.

This print would bring a calm, contemplative presence to a study or living room. I created these panoramic prints because I love the different ways you can combine them with other prints perfect for above a long couch or dining room wall.

Fine Art Friday! While photographing in West Papua, I captured a male King Bird of Paradise perform his open-wing ritual: a red cap, radial fans, and two delicate filamentous tails tipped with small discs, all poised on a branch against soft forest greens. Did you notice his tail? When the light is right the disks are green!

I framed to emphasize the display and color; the bird’s posture reads like a deliberate choreography. Which detail draws your attention first — the red cap, the fan-shaped wings, or those dangling tail disks? Tell me below, and say where you would place this print.

“King Bird of Paradise Open Wing Display" would make a striking focal point in a study or living room.

Pelicans and Winter Surf — I photographed this along the cliffs of La Jolla during a winter storm. Pelicans and a lone cormorant follow the cliff line as surf hammers the rocks and spray lifts into the light.

Which element draws you in—the birds tracing the air or the wave breaking on stone? Please share your impression below. If you seek a coastal piece with quiet drama, this work would make a refined addition to a living room or study.

Spread Your Wings — Costa’s Hummingbird
I photographed this Costa’s hummingbird poised on the sharp edge of an aloe leaf. Its iridescent plumage reveals subtle emerald tones while the soft, muted background amplifies the bird’s delicate presence. The composition presents a moment of poised readiness—small in scale, broad in intent.

No matter how small you are, spread your wings and think big!

I believe this piece would be a refined addition to a study, entryway, or nature-focused collection.
