Bisou has lived at the Primate Rescue Center, Inc longer than any other resident. She has called the PRC home for 32 years! I'm very proud to be volunteering at and supporting an organization that is dedicated to the long term care of the animals they rescue. Bisou is a former pet that was found wandering a California neighborhood. Now at PRC, when greeting someone, she often puckers up with a kiss-face and makes a sweet whistling sound (hence her name! 😘).

Reposted from PRC: "Rodney and Ike were rescued from a laboratory in 1996. Growing from energetic babies into bold and active 31-year old adults, these best friends fill their days at the sanctuary with roughhousing, laughter, and playful chases, followed by pant-filled grooming sessions and shoulder-to shoulder naps. Mornings often start with play faces and a sprint across their outdoor enclosure. Afternoons end with lazy naps with outstretched limbs on the outdoor platforms. Caregivers provide protein shakes to support muscle recovery after all that action and daily vitamins to keep their energy steady. I have been lucky enough to volunteer at the Primate Rescue Center, Inc the past few months. Not only has it refilled my cup getting to listen to happy chimp and monkey vocalizations, and working with the fabulous staff and other volunteers - but it has also re-inspired me to paint more. Luckily, it has also provided many new subjects, such as Ike.
Ike, was rescued from a laboratory in 1996. At 31 years old, he now gets to spend his days playing with his best friend, Rodney (seeing two grown male chimps play chase is truly the cutest), and quietly enjoying the sunshine.

I made some prints and I’m so incredibly happy with them! 🌳 I know that they aren’t perfect, but that is part of why I like them so much.

All from the same tree slice, but they all look so different! They took a lot of trial and error but I learned a lot (you mean fast forwarding through instructional videos and only listening to part of the parts you heard didn’t work out?! 😆😅🤷🏼‍♀️)

I really like to dive into projects with little to no plan lol.
