Friends + Family + Community:
Thank you so much for your participation at 40 Shades of Brown x EMON Event Co. experience. We were honored to share space with you and have your presence at our Picnic with Purpose where we were able to bring awareness to not only Breast Cancer, but the alarming healthcare disparities in the Black/Brown community.
Without you, we are unable to do what we do. Your unwavering support has allowed us to continue our philanthropic efforts where we place money where it matters.
Moments and memories were captured by Spin-Lera360 LLC in the 360 Videobooth, while Brian Jackson Photography roamed the entire event and cataloged stills. (Please stay tuned for evidence of this well-documented vibe you all curated.)
We initiated the evening with talent, Maya Mccutchen, as we heard how delicate she plays her strings. Our host for the evening, Martina Barksdale, worked alongside Darian Djdmc Carter to elevate your musical experience. And in between, we were inspired by the captivating words of Aaron Akidil.
While food service was abundant with partnered catering efforts through BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse and San’s Healthy Choices (chicken croissant cocktail sandwiches), the opportunity to compliment your entree with delectable desserts by EMON Event Co.’s very own grandma (Grandma’s Pound Cake), Cupcakes by Christina’s SweetShop, and fruit kabobs by Malika-Made treats was truly a treat.
Signature drinks were a fan favorite provided by EMON Event Co.‘s partner,Baddie B Cocktails, and Luxe Mobile Bar.
If that wasn’t enough, you could leave with bags in your hand as you shopped through our wonderful vendor mall with products from Classy Cigar Connoiseurs, AccessHERy Boutique (LaSasha Swanson), Noir Bliss (Shanise Edwards), ELAN Aromatics, Love In A Jar, The Live First Movement, SlayEve.
Of course, health care is wealth care, so resources were also abundant from Rhema Word Foundation also known as Rhema Wings, Healing Roots Centre, Foundation47,LLC.
To help execute the vision for this event, you saw first hand the work of one of our sponsors, Young Events And Rentals, at the glowing lights of the 40 Shades of Brown marquee letters and the adjacent backdrop. Team Iman, The Floating Lotus (Tiffany El-Amin), Alfafa Catering, and Central Bank were prime financial contributors that allowed us to exceed our own expectations.
Though weather was not ideal, our team adjusted and adapted quickly to bring you the blessed and best of any circumstances that stood before us. But really, it was all of YOU that made it all possible.
