Zhuazhou is a traditional Chinese ritual held at a child’s first birthday. Different objects—each symbolizing future career paths or personality traits—are placed in front of the baby. The one they choose is believed to offer a glimpse into their future. Watching this little one explore, choose, and delight in the moment was pure joy.⁠

I swear I told her at least 105 times during the shoot — every time I looked at her, it was pure déjà vu!

After photographing her as a leader and business owner, we slowed things down and created something just for mom and her kids.

No titles.
No expectations.
Just connection.

The way her children lean into her.
The way they look at her like she is their safe place.

Hands shaped by work, by care, by bees.⁠
Hands that tell the story of a husband, a father, a provider.⁠
For me, it’s always in the details—because truth is where meaning lives.⁠

After spending a week photographing families and holding space for their connections, my heart began to crave the same thing for my own. The kind of memories that lean into presence. That honor closeness. That double down on love.⁠

One of my favorite projects is when we get to elevate an entire team and the visionary behind it.

We recently photographed the leadership team of a local law firm — six incredible professionals who now have cohesive, modern headshots for their website and firm-wide marketing.

Then we took it a step further.

The firm’s owner stepped into a Personal Branding session, creating a full marketing portfolio of images designed for social media, speaking engagements, press features, and long-term brand growth.

Now she has:

There is something magnetic about a woman who knows her worth and invests in her brand. Last week, I had the pleasure of hosting three incredible local realtors for a full "Power Branding" day.

It started with the ultimate pampering—hair and makeup for all three ladies at Paul Mammolla (yes, all at once!), followed by a beautiful lunch before they headed to the studio.

From the classic French doors to our "home-style" staircase and natural light windows, we captured portraits that feel as sophisticated and timeless as their business approach. These aren’t just headshots; they are the face of a legacy. 🥂✨

Six months after my most recent concussion, I walk familiar ground with new awareness—listening, adjusting, showing myself grace where impatience once lived.⁠

New Zealand gave me so much. It healed my soul.⁠
⁠
The country is so clean. So pure. So human. So impossibly green.⁠
⁠
The air itself softens your soul. It restores faith—in humanity, in joy, in gratitude—before your feet even touch the floor in the morning.⁠
⁠
Living with a brain injury is hard.⁠
⁠
Some days, I still wake up with headaches despite early nights, clean habits, meditation, movement, and being deeply loved by my family. Some days it simply… sucks. I look fabulous, but I get bitter. ⁠
⁠
And yet—New Zealand met me there too.⁠
⁠
While abroad, a few mornings I woke up with both headaches and tears of happiness. I was in New Zealand, stepping into days filled with adventure, nature, and love. I was reminded—instantly—that a day can still be extraordinary, even with pain ❤️. Even with concussion symptoms that haven’t faded completely after six months.⁠
⁠
Incredible women held me steady, climbing up and down massive rocks. I photographed with two cameras while standing knee-deep in the coldest water.⁠
⁠
It was amazing ⭐️. It was EPIC.⁠
⁠
New Zealand filled my soul. It grounded me. It helped me reconnect with my deepest self. It reminded me to honor what I have, not what I lack.⁠
⁠
And for that, I am endlessly grateful 🤍 ⁠

Isn’t it fascinating how deeply we adore our partners, yet most days we’re moving in circles—loving each other fiercely while juggling life. We’d choose them every time, every day… and still end most nights collapsing side by side, completely spent.⁠
⁠
That’s why I always photograph parents together.⁠
⁠
Families book me for family photos, for the kids, for milestones. I often hear, “I’m never in the frame with my babies.” We make sure those moments are preserved—frozen in time.⁠
But the images that surprise my clients the most?⁠
The couple’s portraits.⁠
⁠
When I gently invite them to step in for just a moment—just the two of them—there’s often a nervous laugh. Sometimes they tell me the last photos they took together were on their wedding day. Sometimes they can’t remember how long it’s been. Sometimes they’re simply unsure of how it will feel to be seen like that again.⁠

And listen—not every husband looks like James Bond. The breeze doesn’t always land his hair perfectly. But I promise you this: to you, he is YOUR James Bond.⁠
He knows you like the palm of his hand.⁠
He adores you without limits.⁠
