Horsemania 2022 concludes tonight with the LexArts 50th Celebration and HorseMania Auction. NEIGHdlepoint will go on the auction block sometime after 7pm tonight—his stall at the Old Courthouse is empty. Here’s hoping NEIGHdlepoint’s buyer places him somewhere where we can continue to enjoy him. I’ll keep posting about him tonight. If you’re interested in purchasing NEIGHdlepoint, you can find him on bidpal…as of now he has a bid of $4500.

Horsemania 2022 concludes tonight with the LexArts 50th Celebration and HorseMania Auction. NEIGHdlepoint has moved from his studio to his new home at the Historic Lexington Courthouse. Designers Donna Lynn Eads and Mike Cooper will be with him on Thursday, July 21 at 6:30 pm during Thursday Night Live. Hope you enjoy these four canvases and their stories. We have many more to share so check NEIGHdlepoint.com often—completed squares are on the stitchers button. We’re happy to report that we have reached our goal of 200 needlepoint jockey silk canvases and unfortunately, today we stopped taking requests for canvases. If you’ve previously requested one and we’ve reached out to you, you are still on the list and should receive yours in the next couple of weeks. We put 20 more in the mail today and still have about 50 to send out. We appreciate you and are overwhelmed with the response. Please be patient and keep stitching! Mike and Donna

Winner of the 2014 Kentucky Derby, California Chrome was stitched by Ann McManus of Owensboro, KY who will turn 90 this year, making Ann the oldest NEIGHdlepoint stitcher!  Interesting fact about Ann, who has stitched for over 75 years….her late husband was a Doctor who culminated his medical career as a cruise ship doctor….Ann traveled the seas with him where she stitched many pieces including two beautiful rugs!! California Chrome went on to be named the 2014 and 2016 Horse of the Year.
