Checking the mail today and came across this beautiful 2 1/2 ft long Checkered Garter Snake sunning itself on the edge of the road. Alot of folks right away would say kill it! 🤬
I say...Oh Nay Nay!!
These snakes eat worms, bugs, and other small rodents to help to keep the yard clean! They are considered poisonous, but not to the level where they can kill you. If bitten it will produce some swelling and itching. I already know this from trying to be friends with them as a kid. 😳🤣
