Beaches may have brought me to San Diego, but this city has a lot more to offer than just its coastline.

Whether it's the rich culture and street art of Chicano Park or the architecture of Balboa Park, the beauty of San Diego Bay, or the epic views from Mount Soledad, this was one of those days where we spent the entire day exploring.

I came to San Diego with one goal: spend as much time near the ocean as possible.

Somewhere along the way, I decided that standing on a surfboard would be a good idea. 🏄‍♂️

Last night, the sky put on a pretty incredible show. 🌕🌑

Caught the lunar eclipse from right here in Texas. There’s something pretty humbling about stepping outside, looking up, and realizing you’re watching something that’s been happening for millions of years.

A little reminder to slow down, look up, and appreciate the moments that don’t happen every day.

There are places you visit once... and then there are places that somehow become a part of you.

For me, that place is Isla Mujeres.

It's not because of the luxury resorts or the perfectly curated beaches. It's the slow mornings, the friendly locals who make you feel like family, the golf carts replacing traffic jams, sunsets over the Caribbean, and the reminder that life doesn't always have to move so fast.

I've been fortunate enough to travel to some incredible places, but I keep finding myself drawn back to this tiny island off the coast of Cancún.

I finally put into words what makes Isla Mujeres so special to me, not as a travel guide, but as a personal story about why this little island continues to call me back.

One of my favorite parts of running Roam & Focus is getting the opportunity to work alongside local businesses that are passionate about what they do.

Over the past few months, I've had the chance to photograph some of the incredible food and atmosphere at Local Pint in Flower Mound, and it's been a blast watching their creativity come to life with every new menu item and event.

As a small business owner myself, I know how much heart goes into building something from the ground up. Supporting other local businesses isn't just part of what I do—it's something I genuinely believe in. Great photography helps tell those stories, showcase the hard work behind the scenes, and invite new customers through the door.

Every role starts with a first impression.

Recently, I had the opportunity to work with Jordan on a new set of actor headshots designed to showcase his range and versatility. We photographed several different looks and wardrobe combinations to help him present a variety of character types for future auditions, from confident and professional to relatable and approachable.

A great headshot isn't just a photo; it's a casting tool. The goal is to help directors and casting teams see the possibilities before a single line is spoken.
Looking forward to seeing where Jordan's talent takes him next.

Last Friday, I had the opportunity to help celebrate 10 years of Skeleton Crew Adventures alongside an incredible group of sailors, veterans, first responders, friends, and supporters.

Over the past few years, I've been fortunate to spend time sailing with this organization, documenting their adventures, and witnessing firsthand the impact they have on people's lives. What started as a sailing organization has grown into a community built around camaraderie, challenge, healing, and shared experiences on the water.

Seeing so many people come together on The Strand in Galveston to celebrate this milestone was a reminder of just how many lives have been touched along the way.

Congratulations to the entire Skeleton Crew Adventures team on an incredible first decade. I'm excited to see where the next chapter leads.
