Last Friday, I had the opportunity to help celebrate 10 years of Skeleton Crew Adventures alongside an incredible group of sailors, veterans, first responders, friends, and supporters.

Over the past few years, I've been fortunate to spend time sailing with this organization, documenting their adventures, and witnessing firsthand the impact they have on people's lives. What started as a sailing organization has grown into a community built around camaraderie, challenge, healing, and shared experiences on the water.

Seeing so many people come together on The Strand in Galveston to celebrate this milestone was a reminder of just how many lives have been touched along the way.

Congratulations to the entire Skeleton Crew Adventures team on an incredible first decade. I'm excited to see where the next chapter leads.

There’s something raw and unfiltered about witnessing nature up close.

This afternoon, in my own backyard, I watched a hawk standing over its freshly caught meal. No noise, no hesitation; just instinct, survival, and the quiet reality of how life sustains itself.

It’s easy to forget, living in our day-to-day routines, that this is the same world we’re part of. The circle of life isn’t just an idea, it’s happening constantly, whether we choose to see it or not. There’s beauty in it, even in its harshness. A reminder that every living thing plays a role, and nothing is wasted.

Moments like this have a way of grounding you. Stripping things back to what’s real.

There’s something powerful about how color, or the absence of it, can completely change the way a moment feels.

This weekend at Chill Bar & Grill, I had the chance to capture an incredible live set from Like Combs, a Luke Combs tribute band. The energy was electric, the crowd was all in, and the music made it one of those nights you wish you could bottle up.

As I went through the photos, I found myself drawn to two very different storytelling styles:

Color brings the scene to life exactly as it felt—the warmth of the stage lights, the glow of neon, the atmosphere of a great night out. It’s immersive, vivid, and full of energy.

Black & white, on the other hand, strips everything back. It pulls you into the emotion—the grit in a performer’s expression, the movement, the raw connection between artist and crowd. No distractions. Just feeling.

Same moment. Two completely different experiences.
