A late-summer afternoon at Rock Creek Station in southeast Nebraska provided plenty of interesting photo opportunities capped off by this awesome sunset. If you’ve never been there it’s definitely worth the trip! We spent much more time there than we expected to, and plan to go back again for hiking and more photography.

Happy ! We just love these guys and always enjoy seeing them when we visit the Lincoln Children's Zoo.

Red Pandas are an endangered species with only about 2,500 remaining in the wild. International Red Panda Day exists to raise awareness of conservation efforts and help more people fall in love with these beautiful animals.

Found this neat little metal and glass handmade pinwheel in the Children's Garden at the Beatrice Public Library. I like the colors and detail in the glass, and the small imperfections in the pinwheel itself. I hope you enjoy it.

It’s pretty amazing - God’s Creation - in its beauty, symmetry, and function down to the smallest details. And to think this is “just” a flower! How incredible are we in Him! Have a wonderful week!

Happy from Nebraska!

This is my first summer attempting to capture nightscapes around rural Nebraska. Definitely a learning curve and equipment upgrades are due, but it’s a lot of fun and a great new challenge. I hope you follow along and enjoy the adventure!

Found this scene tonight while driving back from another shooting location. Beautiful clear skies and roads less traveled. Rural Nebraska at its finest.

Cautious but curious, this fox pup ventured out of the iron pipe playground for a cameo.

This momma fox and pup quickly spotted me as I moved to get closer and get a better angle, but I still managed to snap a few photos before the vixen ran off. I should work on my photog ninja skills! Thankfully the pups stayed around the stack of iron pipes and I was able to capture a few great shots that I’ll share in the next few posts.
