This stretch of coastline has layers.

Ocean in the foreground. WWII tower standing quiet in the sand. The calm back bays behind it. And the sun cutting a straight line across everything like it’s stitching the whole place together.

If you’ve walked Gordon’s Pond Trail, you know how different this area feels compared to the main beach. It’s quieter. Wilder. Less polished. You hear more birds than people.

No fences. No barns. No feed buckets. Just wind, marsh water, and whatever they can find to survive on. They move when they want, graze where they want, and remind you real quick that this island belongs to them.
