Hello IG & FB friends! I know I’ve been MIA for awhile. To be honest, social media has never been a big priority of mine. But I figure it’s about time I jump on here and share some updates!
A lot of you know that last year I decided to take 6 months off and left the area… actually I left the country! Me and the fam spent September ‘25-March ‘26 in the Caribbean of Costa Rica 🇨🇷🌴🦥 It was a much needed sabbatical to reset, pour into my kiddos, spend intentional time with my husband, and address some health issues, all while learning a new culture, language and diving into a community that was so beautiful. I also spent time plugging into the birthing community that was around me. I was welcomed into village prenatals, birthkeeper meetups and attended a screening of documentary La Ultima Partera (The Last Midwife) where we had the pleasure of spending time conversing with Rebecca Turecky herself. The connections I made there I will cherish and keep forever. While I am so grateful for this life changing experience, and have plans to continue my connections to the friends and the birth world down there in various ways, the universe made it clear that homebase is still Southern Maryland.
✨So consider this my official announcement that I am back in the area, staying, and providing homebirth midwifery to SOMD and parts of VA! 🤰🏻🤱🏼👶🏽🥳
✨I am still offering birth photography services as well so feel free to reach out if interested 📷
✨I am no longer offering doula services (with the exception of repeat clients) 💜
Thank you to all of my clients that have given me so much grace and understanding while I took some family time, and special heartfelt thanks to for taking care of some very special clients for me in my absence. I am so very grateful for you 🙏🏼💜
While Costa Rica was my “time off”, I will leave you with this little slideshow of an experience I had during my time there. What can I say? 💜You can take the midwife out of her country, but you can’t take midwifery out of her soul💜 Grateful for this last minute alignment to photograph and attend this mama and babe. I really miss postpartum visits by Tuk Tuk!!
