✨”It is said that women in labor leave their bodies… they travel to the stars to collect the souls of their babies and return to this world together”✨ I honor this pause, this moment of regrounding. There is no reason to rush, no directions that need to be given, just a time to pause, breathe, hold space. After the journey her & baby just travelled together, they deserve to finish out their beautiful process with reverence, patience, and respect. And when left undisturbed, what comes next from mom is that magical realization of “I did it!” Let her feel that magic, for it is a powerful gift 💖

As I gear up to spend this upcoming week with the breech master at , I find myself reflecting back on this nugget’s amazing birth I attended/photographed last year! From the first visit with this family I was so impressed by the education, preparation, and confidence surrounding whatever this birth story would become. When sweet bubba decided he preferred to hang out in the womb bottom down, that education and preparation slightly pivoted, but the confidence never wavered. When birthing day finally arrived, labor was swift and smooth. 9lbs 2oz of healthy perfection. 👶🏻💙

I believe that families deserve to make choices that feel right to them in every step of THEIR process. To keep those options accessible and as safe as possible, I will continue to seek out and learn from mentors and experts any and every chance I get! Planning to share more from this birth and other breech births I’ve attended throughout the week ✨💙✨
