Sometimes it's the moment before the action that makes the photograph. This little guy had finished making the rounds and, with wings already in motion, was getting ready for his next stop.

It’s amazing how much is happening in nature that we simply never notice until we freeze a fraction of a second.

"Silent Elegance"

There wasn't a sound except the soft rhythm of wings cutting through the evening air.

The calm water, the warm sunset, and the effortless grace of a Great Blue Heron all came together in a moment that felt almost unreal. It's scenes like this that remind me why wildlife photography is as much about being present as it is about pressing the shutter.

Sometimes the most interesting subjects aren't the ones you go looking for. They're simply waiting for you to notice them.

A fallen branch, still water, and just the right light transformed an ordinary scene into something that stopped me in my tracks.

It's moments like this that remind me why I always have a camera nearby.
