Straight out of camera. No editing. No polishing. Just Peanut Butter and a whole lot of personality. 😂🐾

This was just one little portion of today's shelter sessions. My goal is to narrow each dog's gallery down to just a handful of images that really tell their story—and somehow Peanut Butter managed to give me this many personalities in one sitting. 😂

Now comes the hard part… which ones make the final cut?

Which one is your favorite? 🐾

I may have a soft spot for photographing dogs and horses… but every once in a while, I get to photograph the *two-legged* members of the family, too. ❤️

This session was a pretty special one — Mom, her three sons, their wives, and all those little personalities that make a family what it is.

We photographed some images against an old-world European-inspired setting and then changed things up with a simple classic white set up for the different groupings. Two completely different looks, but both capturing this family just as they are.

And honestly? This is exactly why I love photographing families.

Because whether they have two legs or four, **the best photographs aren't really about everyone looking perfect. They're about remembering what it felt like to have everyone together.**

With the holidays just around the corner, it's a good time to start thinking about those family photographs.

And yes… your dogs absolutely count as family. 🐾

🐾 **Pet Palooza is coming — and yes, you can book your dog's portrait session now!**

I'll be bringing my pop-up studio to the World Equestrian Center in Ocala on **October 17th & 18th**, with short 10-minute portrait sessions designed to capture your dog's personality.

And I've kept the collections simple:

✨ **Signature — $99**
10-minute session • up to 2 pets • 3 high-resolution digital images

⭐ **Heirloom — $149**
10-minute session • up to 2 pets • 5 digital images + an 8x10 fine art print

❤️ **Gallery — $199**
10-minute session • up to 2 pets • all edited digital images + two 8x10 fine art prints + $50 artwork credit

These aren't long, formal sessions where we're trying to make your dog behave perfectly.

They're **10 minutes to let me see what makes your dog special**— the expression, the attitude, the goofy face, the personality.

If you've been meaning to get some really good photographs of your dog, this is an easy way to do it while you're already at Pet Palooza.

**October 17th & 18th | World Equestrian Center, Ocala**

Registration is open now. ❤️

When my client booked this session, she made the decision to wait until George had shed his foal coat and his permanent color had come in.

And I'm so glad she did. As his colors come in, his fine breeding is starting to really show...I'm pretty sure he knows how handsome he is 😉

There's something pretty special about documenting a young horse during these fleeting stages — because they change so quickly. The awkward foal coat disappears, their color begins to emerge, their proportions change, and suddenly that tiny baby you photographed a few months ago looks like a completely different horse.

George is about four months old now, and this session was a chance to capture this version of him before he changes again.

That's one of my favorite things about equine photography. It's not just about creating a beautiful picture of your horse today. It's about preserving the chapters you'll never get back.

Is Zae meant you be yours? You won't regret it- Go get her! She's available for adoption at Citrus County Animal Services.

Thanks to Adopt a Citrus County Animal Shelter Pet, Ken, and all the volunteers that graciously take their time to bring these babies to me so we can give them better images showcasing their awesome personalities to help them get adopted.

Four months ago, Amarillo was expecting a foal. If you recall, we did a maternity session for her last year...man time sure flies by!

Now her little c**t, George, is four months old and already growing into his own personality. ❤️

I love photographing horses for exactly this reason. It's not always about the perfect pose or getting everyone to look at the camera. Sometimes it's about capturing the relationship, the personality, and the little moments that you'll want to remember long after they've passed.

And yes… in case you've been wondering, I still photograph horses. 😉

Fall dates are beginning to fill, and I'd love to photograph a few more of these stories this season. Whether it's a mare and foal, your heart horse, a young prospect, or the whole herd, let's create something you'll treasure.
